09/18/2026

SEPTEMBER 17, the internship journey in Japan of Tô Nguyễn Phương Anh and Trần Ngọc Minh, the Faculty of International Relations, has officially begun. Seeing them off at Tan Son Nhat airport, UEF lecturers and their family not only wished them the best but also showed the two UEFers their support, raising their spirit for the major leap from in-class studies to professional practice in the international environment.

Phương Anh and Ngọc Minh’s destination is Hotel Sunshine Mashikokan, where they will have an opportunity to develop their professional practice as an interns and gain firsthand experiences of working in the Japanese business environment. This is an important step that allows them to apply theoretical knowledge acquired at UEF to meet the practical requirements of the global labor market.

Two more students are ready to integrate and realize the vision of a global citizen

For International Relations majors, going beyond the familiar learning space and working in an international environment offer special experiences of communication, cultures, and adaptability. Therefore, the internship in Japan will be Phương Anh and Ngọc Minh’s chance to accumulate professional experiences, observe how a business operates, learn to collaborate with colleagues from different cultures, and adapt to the emerging standards.

At Hotel Sunshine Mashikokan, they will access the professional service environment, where meticulousness, discipline, responsibility, and attitude are the top values. These requirements will encourage students to train themselves on the ability to follow work procedures, communicate in a multicultural environment, solve problems effectively, and proactively adapt to real-world situations.

Besides professional practice, the living and working experiences in Japan will open up opportunities to enhance foreign language skills, deepen understanding of Japanese culture and people, and develop confidence in communication and working in the international environment.

The solid support network helps UEFers confidently take the challenge in the international environment

Experiences in the business will be a benchmark for students to evaluate their capabilities, understand employers’ demand, and identify the skills they need to further improve. This highlights why connecting internships with students’ future career is important. They can become familiar with the professional environment while still learnign, instead of waiting until after graduation.

At UEF, international internship programs are one of the ways to prepare students for the global labor market. With the international business and partner network, UEF students will have more opportunities to accumulate experiences abroad, broaden their horizons, and develop the foundation for a professional career in the multinational environment.

Lecturers give students sound advice to quickly adapt to the new life abroad

Every overseas internship is an occasion to strengthen connections between the University, businesses, and students, providing UEFers with more international experiences and enhancing their career prospects while they are still undergraduates.
