UEF & Edinburgh Napier University, UK: to promote global partnership for education

As an international bilingual learning environment, UEF always emphasizes the expansion of long-term opportunities for transnational education (TNE) cooperation. The working session with Edinburgh Napier University - UK on the afternoon of July 25 is one of the premises for realizing this goal.

UEF representatives were Dr. Do Huu Nguyen Loc - Vice President, Board of Management and Director of UEF International Institute; and Ms. Huynh Tu Anh - Deputy Director of UEF International Institute.

The working session also had the honour to welcome from Edinburgh Napier University Prof. Johnson Zhang - Head of International in School of Computing, Engineering, and Built Environment; Assoc. Prof. Paul Holmes - Head of International in School of Arts and Creative Industries; Assoc.Prof. Nathalia Tjandra - Head of International in The Business School; and Mr. Stuart Easter - Head of International Partnerships and Student Recruitment.
 

The working session with Edinburgh Napier University expands opportunities for long-term transnational education cooperation


Commencing the session, Dr. Do Huu Nguyen Loc expressed gratitude to the partner university representatives, as well as introduced UEF’s overview and standout international programmes. 

The representatives from Edinburgh Napier University also shared information about their institution. Accordingly, Edinburgh Napier University is a modern university located in the capital of Scotland, Edinburgh, with three campuses and over 20,000 students, including around 4,000 enrolled in transnational education programmes with partners worldwide.
 

Representatives from both sides discussed future cooperation opportunities 


At the meeting, the two sides discussed cooperation opportunities in various fields: joint programmes in general and articulation programmes in the fields of Communication, Marketing, Computer Science; short-term programmes such as international semesters, Summer school, international exchange; long-term cooperation in transnational education (TNE) and other potential collaborative opportunities.

Through this working session, long-term opportunities for transnational education cooperation as well as high-quality international programmes will soon be implemented. UEFers will gain access to more globally valuable experiential and educational programmes.
