Along with UEF’s 14th founding anniversary on 24 September, numerous international cooperation activities were held this month to promise our students a breakthrough journey to a world-class education. The highlights include
The launch of the strategic alliance between Cintana Education and UEF
On 24 September, the HCMC University of Economics and Finance (UEF) was officially presented as the first and only university in Vietnam and South East Asia to join the Cintana Alliance. This partnership is not only a bold step forward in growing UEF’s global reputation but also a milestone that marks our 14 years of establishment and development.
UEF - the official member of the Cintana Alliance
Cintana Alliance is a network of innovative and ambitious universities with various research activities ranging from economic management, cultural linguistics, to medicine. By joining the alliance, UEF will be able to get direct access to high-quality resources for our students and strengthen its position amongst the leading universities in Vietnam.
The Co-Teaching class conducted by faculty members from UEF and UIDE, a member university in the alliance
On September 21 and 22, UEF collaborated with Universidad Internacional del Ecuador - UIDE (Ecuador) to organize a co-teaching class on “Communication Skill". The goal of this program is to create an international and work-integrated learning experience for students, connect enterprises in the global network, and improve peer interaction between students in the alliance. This course will offer different global classes depending on each stage.

The co-teaching class between UEF and UIDE (Ecuador) is a part of the Global Signature Course - one of the highlight advantages of this long-term strategic partnership with Cintana Education.
Through the Global Signature Courses, UEFers can now learn and engage with classmates from other parts of the world. Lectures are conducted by international faculty from other Cintana affiliate universities to develop students’ global perspectives.
The workshop "Teaching and Learning in Online Education" with keynote speakers from Leeds Trinity University, our partner university
The Covid-19 crisis has made many higher education institutions switch to online mode. With an attempt to ensure faculty development and create solutions for online student engagement and e-assessment, the UEF International Institute proudly presented the workshop “Teaching and Learning in Online Education”
Faculty development is part of the international activities adapted for the COVID-19 era
UEF was honored to invite Dr. Katherine Lupton - International Business Program Leader at Leeds Trinity University (UK) to be the keynote speaker of the workshop. Besides, our special guest - Professor Catherine O'Connor, Pro-Vice-Chancellor of the aforementioned partner university also shared the purpose of the workshop with a pre-recorded remark. She highlighted the importance of consistency by sticking to a single platform. MS Teams, for instance, is being used for all coursework in Leeds Trinity University. In addition, the conversation looked more into the need for online community development and the peer-led sharing of good teaching practices.
The final admission round opened for international Undergraduate programs
One of UEF's biggest strengths is its international Undergraduate program, which is in collaboration with partner universities in the UK and the US. Following the last admission round, the program has successfully drawn interest from a considerable number of interested parents and students.
The final admission round of the international Undergraduate program was due on 30 September
After the last admission round ended on 20 September, the university decided to expand the admission for the programs until 30 September. With the maxim ‘you can study abroad right at UEF’ - this is also the last chance for the applicants to receive the 'ticket' to experience the programs of US-UK standards and gain degrees with global values without traveling overseas, this also helps to save and decrease other risks of studying aboard.
