UEFers constantly study abroad in the first half of 2023

With the advantages of learning English in a bilingual and international environment and being equipped with integration skills, students of the Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics and Finance have many opportunities to participate in international practical activities in the United States, Singapore, Malaysia, Korea, and Thailand in the first half of this year.
 

UEF students have plenty of chances to learn and exchange cultures abroad

UEF frequently connects and launches cooperation programs with universities and large enterprises worldwide. With this extensive “network” of partnerships, UEF students are always willing to seize opportunities to engage in short-term courses, cultural exchange activities, and study experiences following the student exchange program.

UEF’s academic program is designed as a bilingual model with 50% of learning duration in English and many supportive activities to improve foreign language and communication skills. Students equipped with a solid foundation have confidently participated in international exchange programs and directly experienced the study environment abroad.

Most recently, students majoring in the Korean Language have participated in "Bridge to Keimyung Camp 2023" at Keimyung University. This is where many international and exchange students from Europe, Asia, and North America annually come to study.

During this program, students studied and lived with other Korean, Chinese, Mongolian and Thai students; experienced the Samulnori traditional art form; and visited Haengsho museum, E-world amusement park, Tumuli Gongwon park, Bulguksa Temple, and Columnar Jointing Observation Deck. Keimyung University is also a renowned destination through many famous movies and major cultural activities of the Kimchi Land.

Previously, in June, UEF students also had a trip for study and cultural exchange “International Camp 2023” in Singapore and Malaysia. Students paid a visit to famous sites such as two of the seven largest libraries at Nanyang Technological University (NTU). These are impressive libraries with modern facilities that were built based on the idea of merging the learning area with surreal entertainment.

From visiting impressive, iconic tourist destinations of Singapore and experiencing technology at Amazon Web Services Headquarters to attending seminars and knowledge exchange sessions at OUM - Malaysia, students had chances to expand their knowledge, hone their skills and nurture close relationships with international students and experts.

Besides, UEF is also a pioneering university to send students abroad for internships. Several students passed the interview with Japanese employers and started their international internships in the land of cherry blossoms. Up to now, nearly 50 students have participated in this program. Our school is actively raising the number of participants and continually looking for high-quality partners to expand opportunities for students in many other fields of study in the near future.

These study trips and international exchanges are more valuable when they are studying and practicing with foreign friends and experts. Through those experiences, UEFers will accumulate more knowledge to firmly integrate and seize development opportunities in the context of the global economy.
