UEFers kick off the exciting “Bridge to Keimyung Camp 2023” program in Korea

With the intention to facilitate access to the educational environment and cultures around the world, from July 16 to July 24, UEF created an opportunity for Korean Language students to participate in an international exchange program "Bridge to Keimyung Camp 2023". During the first two days of the trip, UEFers had experienced many interesting activities in Korea.

There was Ms. Huynh Tu Anh - Deputy Director, UEF International Institute accompanied the students.

On the first day, these students moved to Keimyung University in Daegu City. They were separated into 5 groups, each with roughly 30 students to participate in the program activities.

JULY 17 - At the welcome ceremony, Prof. Kim Hyun Duck - Vice Dean of International Office - Keimyung University gave a welcome speech to more than 100 students and faculty members from many universities and Korean language institutions from China, Mongolia, Thailand and Vietnam.

After being imparted about the 7-day schedule, the group of UEF students and other students visited Keimyung University, which was used to film many famous Korean dramas. They also paid a visit to the Adams Chapel (Edward Adams Hall of Worship and Praise), a place to honor many achievements of the missionary Edward Adams - one of Keimyung University's founders; and spent their time on seeing the five-story Library Building.
 

Taekwondo traditional martial arts experience 


Students also had Keimyung University martial arts masters guided and practiced basic martial postures of the traditional Taekwondo. Following the program's activities, students were involved in pottery painting and Korean traditional folk games, as well as visited the E-world amusement park.

In the following days, students will learn about modern and traditional Korean costumes and music, as well as engage in other interesting activities. UEF is looking forward to having many valuable international exchange moments shared from the land of Kimchi!
