UEF International Institute rolls out team building activities to welcome freshmen

OCTOBER 9 - On this day, freshmen of the UK-US bachelor’s programs had a chance to meet, connect with friends and get adjusted to a higher education setting when taking part in team building activities, organized by UEF International Institute in collaboration with UEF clubs, comprising GISA, IEF, URM, Youth Union, and Student Association.

Around 200 freshmen were split into 10 teams competing against each other. In addition to movement games requiring good physical health, students had to utilize their intelligence and agility to overcome challenges, including deciphering ciphers and answering questions.

Through each game, students were trained in numerous useful skills, such as teamwork and creative thinking skills along with physical ability. The initial shyness and confusion on their face disappeared. Instead, enthusiasm, openness, and endless support spread through students with distinctive color shirts, holding hands together to cross the finish line.

Nguyen Ngoc Bao Thu – Freshman, International Business, UK bachelor’s programme said: “Participating in team building activities this morning, I made many lovely and active friends. Even though running the games with friends was exhausting, I can feel the bond and the closeness. Hopefully, UEF will organize more activities so that we can get the chance to try and overcome our limits.”

Doan Ngoc Khanh Vy – Freshman, Business Administration, US bachelor’s program said: “Teambuilding program helped me make new friends and feel the dynamism in the university environment. And I believe the next four-year university journey will be extremely interesting.”
