UEF students interview for internships in Japan

OCTOBER 03 - In order to create opportunities for students to approach the international working environment and to practice specialized languages, the Faculty of Languages and International Cultures cooperated with IFK Company to conduct an interview for the internship program at Yuyu Pippu Hotel under Arao Joint Stock Company, Japan.

The online interview featured Mr. Kazuyuki – Director, Arao Joint Stock Company, Mr. Nakayama and Mr. Tanabe – Representatives, IFK Company.

Dr. Vo Van Thanh Than – Dean, Faculty of Languages and International Cultures and Ms. Huynh Tu Anh – Deputy Director, UEF International Institute represented UEF to boost the students’s spirit. 
The interview was conducted online  

The interviewees of this program were Nguyen Thi Ngoc Nhu, Vo Hoang Kim Ngan, Tran Ngoc Thao Van, Nguyen Ngoc Phuong Uyen, Vu Thi Thanh Thuy, Bui Thi Thu Uyen, Tran Minh Anh, and Le Hoang Kim Ngan. All eight students major in  Japanese Language. 

Employers of Japanese businesses focused on asking questions regarding the hospitality industry as well as assessing students’ understanding of Yuyu Pippu Hotel. Besides, students showed their foreign language proficiency by self-introducing and answering queries related to Japanese culture.

After the interview, Dr. Vo Van Thanh Than expressed his appreciation and hoped for more internship interview programs in the future to provide students with more job opportunities and chances to gain more in-depth understanding of Japanese culture. 

The internship program at Yuyu Pippu Hotel covers professional tasks related to the hospitality industry such as housekeeping, table cleaning, waitressing, and public area cleaning, among other things. Furthermore, students can experience Japanese culture and cuisine, practice fire fighting and prevention, respond to disasters, practice sanitation management, and learn practical Japanese.

The internship lasts 12 months. Prior to the interview, all interviewees have fully met the Japanese language requirements, equivalent to N3 - N2 level. 

Although there are only four students to be recruited for the internship program at Yuyu Pippu Hotel, after the interview, the students have gained more experience and fostered the necessary skills for their future career paths.
