Awaking UEF students research potential

In order to help students approach and improve their knowledge on research methods, as part of “Research promoting campaign” among students, on the morning of October 17^th, Faculty of Economics, Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics and Finance (UEF) successfully held “Research Potential Awakening” Conference.

Attending at the conference, students were inspired with motivation to conduct researches and relevant projects, confidence to apply research outcome into practice. Through reports from professional researchers, students had a better look at the “necessary and sufficient conditions” constituting a complete research and its success when presented at higher authorities .

On this occasion, Asst. Prof. Dr. Tran Nguyen Ngoc Anh Thu, Director of Center of International Relations (Ho Chi MInh City University of Economics and Finance), shared her experience and guided students on conducting research as well as joining the Science Council of Economics. UEF students were offered a chance to apprehend the secrets on brainstorming research topics, suggested some topics on economics, UEF specialty.
 

Asst. Prof. Dr. Tran Nguyen Ngoc Anh Thu, Director of Center of International Relations (Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics and Finance) inspired UEF students with research motivation by her dedicated speech.

In the mean time, through the sharing from Mr. Doan Kim Thanh, Member of the Standing Committee of the City Youth Union, Director of Center for Young Science and Technology Development, students had an overview of Eureka: regulations, prize structure, procedures, necessary elements for topic development,… Eureka is a reputable award meant for student researches around the country, the scale for education quality measurement, the motivation for research activities among students, the encouragement for students to come up with new ideas, practical solutions, innovative inventions that may help improving education and training quality and solving problems of social life.

Besides, Dr. Pham Van Kien, lecturer of Faculty of Economics also introduced in details the steps to contruct outlines as well as the research methods to UEF students, especially the freshmen.

Mr. Doan Kim Thanh, Member of the Standing Committee of the City Youth Union, Director of Center for Young Science and Technology Development gave useful information on prizes relating science research
 

 

 

 

It is expected that after this conference, UEF students would be more confident and to reach better achievements during the science research movement.
 

On the basis of the professional knowledge and skills obtained, it is believed that UEF students will soon actively participate and achieve high results during this 2017 – 2018 academic year.
