Winter internship in Japan: UEFers double efforts to adapt to the weather challenge

12/08/2023
Japan is in the winter season with low temperatures and heavy snowfall. This is one of the major challenges that UEFers have to face when starting the international internship term at this time.

DECEMBER 4 to 6, the Faculty of Languages and International Culture and the Center of Corporate Partnerships sent 4 students to Japan to prepare for the international internship with a lot of experience. In every farewell session, faculty members always gave detailed advice and encouraged the spirit so that UEFes have more motivation, effort to adapt to the current weather and accomplish this essential internship term.

UEF sent more 4 students to Japan for internship

Contrary to the tropical weather in Vietnam, Japan is suffering from a cold winter with a lot of snow. Therefore, UEFers must prepare essential items to fight against the cold down to minus degrees Celsius and a spirit of trying to adapt as soon as possible. But perhaps, these issues will become a valuable experience for them in this international internship term.

Attending this farewell session in the last two days at Tan Son Nhat International Airport were Mr. Huynh Quoc Phong - Director, Center of Corporate Partnerships; Dr. Vo Van Thanh Than - Dean, Faculty of Languages and International Cultures; Faculty members of the Faculty of Languages and International Culture, Center of Corporate Partnerships, and representative of IFK - the unit is in charge of preparing procedures and documents for students. Moreover, students’ family members and friends also presented and encouraged them on the flight day to a new land.

Students were encouraged and advised by faculty members before leaving

Starting the one-year internship term at Hakone Pax Yoshino Hotel, Kanazawa, Japan were Lo Hoang Lan Thao and Le Lam Khanh Linh. Dao Thi Ngan and Tran Thi My Phuong chose to participate in the four-month internship term at Joetsu International Ski Resort, Niigata, Japan.

Regardless of the major challenges from the current weather, UEFers are still confident and uplifting determination on the day of departure. In addition, the concern, advice from faculty members, comfort and encouragement from family and friends transmitted a warm “fire” to the students when they arrived in Japan. Wish the UEFers “warriors” win the cold from the new land with your dynamism and determination.

UEFers determined to accomplish international internship term

In December, UEF will continue to have more farewell ceremonies for students going to Japan for internships. The number of UEFers presenting in Japan to participate in the international internship program reached roughly 100. This shows that the attraction and practical value of the program for students is remarkable. UEF wishes 4 UEFers, who just departed on December 4 and 6, and all UEFers interns in Japan to complete their international internships as well as fulfill their hands-on experience before graduation.
