Charity Gala Dinner 2026 at UEF: Nurturing hopes for children and the community

10/12/2026

OCTOBER 10, Charity Gala Dinner 2026 was held at UEF, bringing together international guests, partners, and businesses for different activities with the aim of supporting the community and underprivileged children.

Hosted by UEF in coordination with the non-governmental organizations Les Enfants Du Dragon (LEDD) and BeLuxCham, the fundraising gala dinner provided an opportunity for kind-hearted souls to connect, while establishing meaningful connections between education, culinary arts, and social responsibilities.

The gala dinner connected education, culinary arts, and social responsibilities, aiming for practical values for children and the community

In the opening section, UEF representatives shared the goals and the meaning of the charity gala dinner, while LEDD introduced the activities and campaigns they are conducting, as well as the values they attempt to bring to the community. Through the sharing, guests gained a deeper understanding of the journey behind each fundraising campaign: from childcare demand to essential support for improving living conditions in underprivileged communities.

Mr. Daniel Verschaere, representative of Les Enfants Du Dragon, and Prof. Dr. Eric Jose Olmedo Panal, representative of UEF, gave the opening remarks

The Gala commenced with vibrant and colorful musical performances from UEF students and children from LEDD. Music contributed a joyful atmosphere for participants to connect and create memorable friendly moments. Within the scope of the event, exchange activities, jazz performances, and fundraising sessions continued to open up opportunities for guests to exchange greetings, share ideas, and work toward common goals.

A special highlight of Charity Gala Dinner 2026 was the meal prepared by international chefs from gourmet restaurants. Behind every culinary experience for the guests was their cooperation in culinary skills, kitchen coordination, and meticulous, well-organized service that requires sufficient teamwork skills.

UEF students in the Tourism, Restaurant, and Hospitality Management programs also participated in supporting the kitchen team, which gave them an opportunity to observe the work procedures and directly learn from professional chefs. The practical environment at the event allowed them to gain exposure to real-world professional requirements, from coordinating different positions in the kitchen to ensuring the quality of every service step.

For UEFers who pursue restaurant and culinary arts management, this experience helped connect their theoretical knowledge with professional practice while still being students. They had a chance to closely observe how to organize a culinary event, understand the standards of a professional work environment, and strengthen their sense of responsibility as they completed the tasks together with the team. This is an impactful approach to connect training activities with social responsibilities.

Charity Gala Dinner 2026 concluded a wonderful night with meaningful connections, beautiful melodies, and special culinary experiences, but its values will live on with visions for a longer journey. That is to provide care and support for disadvantaged children, improve living conditions in underprivileged communities, and encourage meaningful actions from organizations and individuals.

For UEF, cooperating with LEDD and BeLuxCham to organize the charity gala dinner is a way to demonstrate its commitment to society through practical connections and actions. The event also illustrates the important role of the university environment in bridging theories and practice, creating opportunities for students to develop their professional skills, and at the same time, nourishing the spirit of sharing.

When education and international cooperation come together with charity work, their values went beyond the gala dinner. That was an opportunity to bridge resources, diversify experiences, and call attention to care for children and the community.
