K2026 students’ passions are highlighted with awards and scholarships
SEPTEMBER 24, UEF honored the outstanding freshmen of the K26 cohort for their remarkable milestones at its 19th Anniversary Ceremony and Welcome Event. Among the honored students were the four top entrance scorers of different admission methods and the freshmen who won 100% scholarships.
Each student comes to UEF for different reasons and pursues different majors, but they all desire to study in a suitable learning environment and break their own limits.
Through sharing sessions, UEF noticed a common characteristic among the four Entrance Valedictorians: behind every distinctive result was thorough and diligent preparation. Phan Thị Thanh Uyên, a freshman in International Business, achieved the Entrance Valedictorian Award based on her high school transcript. For Thanh Uyên, this result is not only a recognition of her consistent efforts during her high school years but also a special occasion, as she received it right at UEF’s 19th Anniversary Ceremony.

“Beginning the university journey, I aim to accumulate more knowledge and experience to develop my career vision gradually. I also hope to have opportunities to exchange cultures with international students at UEF,” Thanh Uyên shared.
Thanh Uyên looks to her university years ahead with an orientation toward experience and integration. Meanwhile, Huỳnh Ngọc Tiên, a freshman in Cybersecurity and the Entrance Valedictorian based on the results of the National University of Ho Chi Minh City’s competency assessment exam, begins his journey with a clear goal of mastering technology and enhancing problem-solving skills.
Ngọc Tiên shared, “When choosing to pursue Cybersecurity, I understand that this field will allow me to approach technology, and it aligns with my passion as well as my desire to develop professional thinking. Within the next four years at UEF, I expect to conquer my goals and, step by step, get closer to success on the path I chose to follow.”

Nguyễn Thị Hoài Thương, the Valedictorian based on the results of the 2023 National High School Graduation Exam, chose Marketing because of her love for creativity and interest in how a brand draws public attention, arouses emotions, and influences customer behavior. Behind her outstanding academic performance and the Entrance Valedictorian Award was a dedicated learning journey supported by a clear plan and self-evaluation skills that helped broaden her horizons continuously.
Hoài Thương expects to develop both specialist knowledge and professional skills at UEF
Hoài Thương shared, “I chose UEF because I want to study in a dynamic environment that provides me with a wide range of opportunities to apply what I have learned and develop my capabilities. What I aim for in the next four years is not only high scores. It is communication skills, presentation skills, teamwork skills, English competence, and practical activities and projects that will help me figure out my strengths and navigate my career in the Marketing field.”
Meanwhile, Tô Ngọc Trân, the Valedictorian based on the V-SAT results, entered UEF with a colorful story of creativity. Ngọc Trân chose Multimedia Communications because she is enthusiastic about creating content, visuals, and technology. She wishes to turn her personal hobbies into an advantage for long-term career development.

“To achieve the Entrance Valedictorian Award, I built a coherent strategy for V-SAT preparation, familiarizing myself with the test format, enhancing my analytical thinking, and improving my time management skills. When coming to UEF, I want to quickly put my interests into practice through media communication projects, contests, and other activities of university clubs related to the field," Ngọc Trân said.
Although the four admission methods marked four different milestones, the stories of Thanh Uyên, Ngọc Tiên, Hoài Thương, and Ngọc Trân all indicated that remarkable achievements at the beginning only become valuable when they motivate young people to step forward. And at UEF, they are embarking on their new journey with distinct goals.
If the Entrance Valedictorians stood out with exceptional results in the admission phase, the freshmen who won 100% scholarships revealed different factors bringing them to UEF.
Vũ Quỳnh Vy, a freshman in Event Management and the winner of the 100% Talent Scholarship, chose UEF based on her previous experience. “When participating in YouBranding 2024, I had a chance to directly enjoy the vibrant and open environment with the support of the lecturers. That experience became a deciding factor in my decision to choose UEF for my university journey,” Quỳnh Vy shared. For her, UEF is a perfect environment for learning, experiencing, and self-development.

Trương Thanh Huy, a freshman in Law who chose UEF because of his passion for the major, also received a 100% scholarship. Huy said, “An important step in choosing a university is to identify the field that we truly want to pursue and then thoroughly research the training environment to make suitable decisions. For me, besides clear goals, we must make serious efforts to achieve our ambitions.”

For Lê Ngọc Minh Châu, a freshman in Marketing, what makes UEF a suitable choice is her impression of the learning environment. “Through the research stage, I was impressed with the vibrant environment and favorable conditions UEF provides for its students’ learning and experience. Therefore, I suppose each student should spend time researching universities thoroughly and prioritize the one that makes them feel comfortable to study and develop their potential,” she advised.

For Phạm Hồng Sơn, a freshman in Digital Marketing, UEF is attractive for its international learning environment and diverse experience opportunities. He added, “The 100% scholarship provides me with practical support, assisting me in pursuing my study goals. From my own experience, I want to send a word to students who are finding their future university. Being active in research scholarship policies is one way to increase our opportunities to choose a suitable environment.”

Nguyễn Trúc Lâm, a freshman in Business Administration, sees UEF as a vibrant and modern learning environment with many opportunities to practice foreign languages and practical skills, participate in different activities, and expand her network. Those factors also align with Trúc Lâm’s greater goal of self-development.

According to the freshmen’s sharing, the 100% scholarships at the entrance phase are highly valuable. For recipients, they serve not only as recognition for their efforts but also as practical support for their learning journey ahead. For UEF, these K26 students represent a new generation entering the university with clearer expectations about experiences, foreign languages, future careers, and personal growth.
The 19th year of UEF is marked by recognized achievements, and the journey ahead will be continued by the young freshmen who have just entered the university. UEF is not only the beginning of a major, a dream, and an experience, but also where today's goals will gradually become tomorrow’s capabilities.
