UEF welcomes the President of UCSI Malaysia, promoting the implementation of international programs

AUGUST 7, UEF had a working session with the leaders of University College Sedaya International (UCSI), Malaysia, to discuss cooperation opportunities between the two universities, especially in the fields of transnational education and student exchange. The meeting also expanded discussions to postgraduate training programs, creating a premise for academic connections in the coming time.

Attending the working session on behalf of UCSI were Prof. Emeritus Datuk Ts Ir Dr. Siti Hamisah Binti Tapsir, FASc - President and Vice-Chancellor; Prof. Dr. Keoy Kay Hooi - Executive Dean, Faculty of Business & Management; Mr. Roland Chan - Director, Global Engagement Office (GEO); and Mr. Nguyen Minh Nhat (Otis) - Senior Executive, Global Engagement Office (GEO). Representing UEF were Dr. Đỗ Hữu Nguyên Lộc, Vice President, along with the team in charge of international cooperation from the UEF International Institute.

At the meeting, the two sides focused on discussing the potential of implementing Transnational Education programs (TNE), thereby aiming for educational models that connect the two institutions and create more international learning options for learners.

In addition, student mobility - student exchange and transfer programs - was also a topic of interest for both universities. Enhancing opportunities for UEF and UCSI students to study and experience each other's educational environments is expected to contribute to expanding international experiences, adaptability, and multicultural connections for learners.

Notably, from the initial discussions, the two parties also expanded their dialogue to postgraduate training programs, thereby seeking additional cooperative directions that align with the needs for learning, research, and professional development at higher levels.

The meeting with the UCSI leadership provided an opportunity for both universities to share their development orientations, understand each other's strengths, and initially identify fields with cooperation potential. Based on these exchanges, UEF and UCSI have established a stronger foundation to continue discussing and materializing collaborative opportunities in education, student exchange, and postgraduate studies, contributing to the expansion of their international partnership networks.
