"Innovative Start-up" contest awakens UEFers’ start-up passion

In addition to the hours of acquiring knowledge and skills in the lecture halls, the academic playgrounds are considered "fertile ground" to nurture talents and develop UEF students. Continuing the success of a series of competitions such as: You Branding, Business Ideas, etc. Faculty of Economics in collaboration with Business Idead Hub Club (BIHub) have organized the contest "Innovative Start-up".

UEF students are encouraged their entrepreneurial passion through many academic competitions every year

"Innovative Start-up" is an academic playground helping students to develop their creative thinking, apply professional knowledge into practice as well as explore potential and passion for entrepreneurship. The contest is an opportunity for UEFers to learn more interesting lessons through useful training sessions and have the opportunity to demonstrate the ability to initiate projects of high practical value.

The “Kick off” and inspirational ceremony will be taken place on March 30

To participate, students can register in the form of individuals or groups (each group does not exceed 5 members, can cooperate with students at other schools).

The contest consists of 3 rounds with the following rules:

Qualification "Idea": from April 1, 2021 to April 30, 2021
Each individual or groups participating in the contest will register online and fill in information describing a startup idea or product in the organizers’ form (divided into 3 groups) from April 1 to April 30.

Semifinal "Make It Real": from May 1, 2021 to May 30, 2021
- Group 1 - Products: Students participating in this group will display and introduce practical products or present the product start-up plans to the judges.
- Group 2 - Services: Students participating in this group will display and introduce practical service models or present the startup plan on service provision to the judges.
- Group 3 - Technology Solutions: Students participating in this group will present and introduce practical technology solutions or the start-up plan of technology solutions to the judges.

Final round "Call for funds": from June 2, 2021 to June 30, 2021
- From June 21, 2021 to June 25, 2021: The projects participating in the Final round are posted on the fanpage of the contest to attract investors' evaluation and receive votes.
- June 26, 2021: Each individual or group present the project to investors up to 15 minutes, and answer questions of investors up to 10 minutes.
