UEFers experience Sangria making and explore the uniqueness of Spanish culture

OCTOBER 21, the UEF Spanish and Latin American Institute organized a workshop titled “How to Make Sangria”, offering students an exciting hands-on experience with one of Spain’s most iconic culinary creations. The event attracted many students interested in international cuisine, especially traditional beverages and distinctive dining cultures.

The workshop was honored to welcome Mr. Nguyen Quoc Viet, Dean of UEF Spanish and Latin American Institute; Miss UEF 2022 – Le Phan Ngoc Khanh; and international students currently studying at UEF. The event also featured the participation and insightful sharing of Prof. Dr. Eric Jose Olmedo Panal, Director of the International Institute and Dean of the Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality Management at UEF.

During the session, students were guided step by step in preparing Sangria – a refreshing beverage that blends wine, fresh fruit juice, and herbs, creating a distinctive flavor that embodies the spirit of Spanish culture. Beyond the hands-on experience, participants also learned about the drink’s origin, tasting traditions, and creative variations, enriching their understanding of international cuisine.

The workshop also created a meaningful platform for UEFers to connect, interact, and share experiences in the field of culinary arts. From selecting ingredients to mixing and decorating the drinks, students actively participated in every stage and had the chance to enjoy the results of their own work. The lively and enthusiastic atmosphere of the session sparked their passion for learning and exploring new cultures.

Through practical activities, UEFers not only improved their beverage preparation and decoration skills but also explored Spanish culture in a vivid and engaging way.
