The meeting provided both sides with an opportunity to engage in in-depth discussions on faculty exchange programs and potential academic and cultural activities for students, paving the way for future joint initiatives between the two institutions.

The delegation from Mahatma Gandhi University (India) included: Prof. Dr. Sajimon Abraham – Professor of Computer Sciences; Prof. Dr. Dais George – Professor of Statistics and Data Science; Dr. Biju Mk – Associate Professor of Management; Prof. Praveen Kumar – Professor of Computer Science; Dr. Sijo Thomas – CTO of IPSR Solutions Ltd, Software Consultant; Abseena Habeeb – Assistant Professor, School of Data Analytics; Faizal B – Technical Consultant, School of Artificial Intelligence; and Leo Abraham – Software Engineer at Trellix, Software Consultant at MGU IF.
Representing UEF were Dr. Majo George, Dean of the Faculty of Economics, Mr. Nguyen Le Dong Xuan, Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Economics, together with heads of majors and lecturers from the Faculty.
During the working session, representatives from both institutions engaged in detailed discussions on potential areas of collaboration, focusing on faculty and student exchange programs, cultural exchange activities that enable students from both universities to enhance their English proficiency and intercultural understanding, as well as joint research initiatives and collaborative projects between lecturers of the two universities.
Representatives of the Faculty of Economics also introduced the international exchange program organized by UEF for a delegation of learners from the Fortune Institute of International Business (FIIB), India — a platform where knowledge and culture are shared and spread to strengthen bonds among international friends.
The expansion of collaboration with Mahatma Gandhi University, a prestigious higher education institution in India, is considered an important step in the internationalization strategy of UEF’s academic programs, particularly within the Faculty of Economics.
Such international cooperation initiatives not only enhance the quality of teaching and research but also open opportunities for students to experience diverse educational environments, engage in cross-cultural exchange, and develop their global competence.
