The visit is associated with the workshop “IIG and UN Internship Opportunities for UEF Students”, offering more valuable global study and internship opportunities for UEF students.

Attending the working session were Dr. Majo George - Dean of the Faculty of Economics, Dr. Nguyen Kim Thoa - Deputy Director of UEF International Institute, Ms. Hoàng Mi - Deputy Director of Faculty of Public Relations and Communication together with IIG representative - Mr. Tarek Kouatly - IIG Vice President and Ms. Nguyen Hoang Yen - Director of Admissions for Asia - Pacific region.

During the meeting, both sides discussed their academic visions, international strengths, and achievements in previous collaborations, which have included student exchange programs and semesters abroad. Moving forward, UEF and IIG aim to expand cooperation in student and faculty exchanges, short- and long-term semesters abroad, and postgraduate programs. This marks a significant step towards signing an official Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), aiming to establish a sustainable cooperative network that delivers practical international value for learners.

Following the working session, the "IIG and UN Internship Opportunities for UEF Students" workshop was held in an enthusiastic atmosphere with the participation of Heads of Department, lecturers, and students from the Faculty of Public Relations and Communications. The workshop's speakers were Mr. Tarek Kouatly and Ms. Nguyen Hoang Yen, the international delegates from Switzerland.

The workshop provided students with practical information about studying, living, and working in Switzerland, as well as IIG's cooperative programs with WFUNA, a United Nations-associated organization. This opens the opportunities for UEF students to access internship programs within a professional international environment, particularly for students majoring in Media and Communications, International Relations, and related fields.

Ms. Nguyen Hoang Yen also provided detailed introductions to training options, transfer study-abroad programs, including transfer study programs, master’s degrees, and future collaborative initiatives between IIG and UEF. These opportunities help students better define their international academic pathways while reaffirming IIG’s long-term commitment to supporting learners in reaching out to the world.
