MARCH 8 - Rapper HIEUTHHUHAI, as a keynote speaker, attended the talk show "Mastering Public Speaking Skills" by Journalist Cong Nhat. Within the event, UEFers had a chance to listen to real-life stories about public speaking skills, which can be considered a source of dread yet a key leading to success.
Dr. Do Huu Nguyen Loc placed an emphasis on the students’ interest in the show since the guest’s names were revealed. The topic of public speaking also helped students learn academic knowledge and gain more practical experience.
Before becoming renowned and undertaking work that required connecting with the crowd, HIEUTHHUHAI was also afraid of public speaking.
"When I was in college and entered a talent show, I was always scared when I introduced my song. In my first 10 performances, I always forgot the lyrics. On the other hand, they are the driving forces behind my decision to face my fears and broaden my horizons” said the rapper.
The guests shared their stories when speaking in public.
After mastering his fear of crowds, HIEUTHHUHAI is no longer terrified of performing in front of the audience, yet attending this event as a keynote speaker challenges him. This is an opportunity for the rapper to put himself to the test in a new sector, public speaking, but in a unique way. As a result, only practice, according to journalist Cong Nhat, can improve public speaking abilities.
Besides, in terms of public speaking skills, it is a must to understand the audience to become an effective communicator. Also, emotional self-regulation cannot be overlooked. According to journalist Cong Nhat, letting the brain secrete positive substances: Dopamine, Serotonin, Oxytocin, Endorphine can help maintain emotional balance.
Following the event, the students took some crucial notes to help them improve their public speaking abilities. HIEUTHUHAI stressed that rap music is a story genre that delivers a message. As a result, improving public speaking abilities is essential for gaining confidence and becoming an effective communicator.
