At VCF's facility, the students were introduced to information and many prominent programs of the organization. VCF was established in 2006 , is licensed in the U.S. , and operates across provinces and cities in Vietnam.
VCF aims to support Vietnam's economic growth by providing healthcare and education solutions for the vulnerable, marginalized, and underserved populations. The organization is committed to promoting women's rights, gender equality, improving nutrition, protecting the environment, and poverty reduction.

VCF's main programs include : Heartbeat Vietnam: Supporting the cost of heart surgeries for children with congenital heart defects, including pre- and post-operative care; Rural Outreach Clinics: Organizing free screening trips to remote areas, helping to detect diseases early and connect patients with necessary medical services; Survive to Thrive: Enhancing newborn care capacity through professional training and providing essential medical equipment to district-level hospitals, aiming to reduce infant mortality; Brighter Path: Awarding full scholarships to ethnic minority female students, combined with soft skills training and mentorship programs, to promote education and empower young women; Clean Water Systems: Providing clean water filtration systems for healthcare centers and schools in rural areas, improving sanitation and public health conditions.

After listening to the information, Pittsburgh students expressed their impression of the organization's purpose and asked questions to further exchange with Mr. Rad Kivette. It is hoped that the practical visit helped the students better understand nonprofit organizations in Vietnam and gain valuable information about community-oriented programs.
MAY 16, the Pittsburgh student delegation will travel to GlassEgg, a graphic design company and game producer/publisher based in Ho Chi Minh City.
