President of Hiroshima - Vietnam Peace and Friendship Association visits UEF

March 6 - The Faculty of Languages and International Cultures welcomed Mr. Shimizu Shohei – President, Hiroshima - Vietnam Peace and Friendship Association (Japan) to visit and attend the working session at UEF.

Besides, The visit also featured 5 students from 3 prestigious Japanese universities: Hiroshima, Kitakyushu and University of Teacher Education Fukuoka.

At the meeting, Mr. Shimizu Shohei and Dr. Vo Van Thanh Than – Dean, Faculty of Languages and International Cultures discussed opportunities for students from Japanese universities to intern and exchange culture at UEF.

Japanese students later joined UEFers in experiencing a Japanese class under the instruction of Ms. Miyuki Igeta – Faculty member.

Previously, UEF had hosted an event welcoming 3 students from Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University - Japan (APU). Their internship at UEF involves assisting in teaching Japanese, organizing Japanese cultural events for Vietnamese students, attending classroom sessions (120 hours/4 weeks) including teaching practice (20 hours/week), preparing lessons and organizing extracurricular activities, as well as participating in student activities under the permission and guidance of UEF.

At the end of this February, UEF also had 6 students joining the internship at Japanese enterprises, namely Senoumi Betsutei Umiusagi Hotel; Ishige Kai Bettei Kagiya Hotel; Hakone Pax Yoshino Hotel, etc.

Besides, UEFers also get the chance to attend pathway programs at Kobe International University (KIU), University of East Asia (UEA), University of Fukui, Kanazawa Institute of Technology (KIT), EHLE Institute, etc. as well as intern in enterprises affiliated with UEF.

The two-way internship programs demonstrate the internationalization feature in UEF educational approach. In addition to welcoming international students, UEF also facilitates chances for UEFers to intern and work at foreign companies.
