UEF awards certificates to Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University (APU) interns, Japan

UEF has become a destination for several international students to study, practice, and exchange cultures as an international learning environment with a vast network of partners spanning over 30 countries from Asia to Europe and America. UEFers has consistently welcomed international students to practice and visit since the beginning of the year. The closing and certificate award ceremony for interns at Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University (APU) in Japan was held on March 16. 

The certificate award ceremony featured Dr. Vo Van Thanh Than – Dean, Faculty of Languages and International Cultures; Mr. Cao Do Quyen – Japanese Language Assistant; Ms. Huynh Tu Anh – Deputy Director, UEF International Institute; Ms. Nguyen Tran Vu Thu – Faculty member, Faculty of Languages and International Cultures; Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Nhan – Faculty member, Faculty of Languages and International Cultures. On behalf of APU, there was Ms. Pham Vu Lan Anh – Manager of the international trainee program.
 

3 Japanese students completing their internship at UEF were presented with certificates

Ninomiya Shintaro, Amenomori Takafumi, and Saito Rin are 3 APU students participating in an internship at UEF.

APU students' roled as Japanese language teaching assistants at UEF, organized activities to expose Japanese culture to Vietnamese students and joined 120 hours over 4 weeks at internships. Classroom time (20 hours a week) consisted of class preparation and extracurricular activities. In addition, APU students' engage in various activities with UEFers, such as field trips at enterprises and historical sites in HCMC.
 

 Faculty members discussed specific the assistance time and accompanied Japanese interns

Tuyet Mai, a UEF student who has been very attached to and supportive of APU students, expresses sincere sadness that she will not be able to stay with her any longer: "For the past month, we were extremely delighted that we studied and had a great time with APU friends. I expect APU students to feel the same sentiment and will always treasure their time in Vietnam with UEFers. I hope you'll be along with us if we have the chance to visit Japan so we can learn more about Japanese culture and cuisine.”
 

 3 Japanese students shared their thoughts after the internship at UEF

Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Nhan evaluated positively about the exchange learning process of students of the two universities: "When APU students visit Vietnam, we are incredibly happy and delighted." There are other interesting topics in the class as well. Although it would be challenging for Japanese students to adapt to Vietnamese culture, they have finished a successful one-month internship at UEF. Vietnamese students benefit greatly from them. She wishes APU students success in their mission and fond memories of their time in Vietnam." 
 

Congratulations on completing a good internship at UEF.

UEFers can strengthen their foreign languages and gain a deeper insight into Japanese culture by meeting, sharing, and practicing directly with Japanese students. As a result, worldwide friends will be able to witness the vitality, friendliness, and hospitality of UEF students. We hope that the experience at UEF will become an unforgettable memory for APU students.
