UEF welcomes and works with the Vice President of Keimyung University, South Korea

NOVEMBER 17 - UEF International Institute leadership welcomed and worked with the Vice President of Keimyung University, South Korea. All information sharing provided many collaborative opportunities between the two universities, as well as chances for students to study and experience fascinating culture.  

Welcoming and working with the partner university were Dr. Do Huu Nguyen Loc - Vice President and Director, UEF International Institute; Dr. Nguyen Hong Nhung - Deputy Director, UEF International Institute; Ms. Pham Thi Thuy Linh - Deputy Dean, Faculty of Languages and International Cultures. 

On behalf of Keimyung University were Ms. Kim Seon-Jung - Ph.D. in Linguistics, Vice President, International Affairs Professor, Dept. of Korean Studies; Mr. Yu Moonki - International Chief of International Cooperation Team; Mr. Sansoo Shin - Senior Coordinator International Cooperation Team.



Many future aspects having collaborative potential between the two universities were discussed 

Keimyung University, founded in 1899 in Daegu, is one of the top 10 most beautiful universities in the Land of Kimchi. With an extensive history of development, Keimyung University possesses many outstanding achievements in education such as: The 3rd best university in Daegu city, The 24th best university in Korea (4icu ranking), etc. Keimyung University is a top priority for not only Vietnamese students but a number of international scholars as well. Until now, this has been a home of more than 21,000 undergraduate students; 2,000 graduate students; and 1,400 international students.

At the meeting, both sides introduced their universities' information to propose appropriate programs with orientation, development, and student characteristics. Both sides exchanged and suggested many orientations to students about articulation program (2+2) and short-term programs such as semesters abroad, field trip, summer camp, and winter camp.

Both units proposed collaborative plans to bring learning experience, cultural exchange, and fascinating playgrounds for students, especially discussing opportunities for studying and experiencing culture in South Korea. Keimyung University also suggested providing scholarships to UEF's students.  

The working session offered students the experience of the culture in the Land of Kimchi. Furthermore, Keimyung University also hoped to send Korean students to UEF for studying and discovering Vietnamese culture.  


The meeting with Keimyung University opened many opportunities for students to study abroad 

With the aim to establish a sustainable relationship in international exchange program, especially in South Korea, representatives of Keimyung University also recommended UEF to sign Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) to improve international exchange program quality for students in both universities. 

The reception and working session provided many quality learning programs for students and created a long-term collaborative foundation between the two units. UEFers look forward to programs from this collaboration between UEF and Keimyung University.
