07/21/2025

The Keimyung’s Summer Camp: Exploring Korean Culture held at Keimyung University in Daegu, South Korea, officially wrapped up on July 18. Over the course of one exciting week (July 13–18), UEFers had the opportunity to explore Korea’s traditional culture while showcasing their spirit of international integration and eagerness to learn in a global environment.

Cherished experiences to end the journey

In the final days of the program, UEFers continued to take part in a variety of learning and cultural exchange activities deeply rooted in Korean traditions. One of the most memorable highlights was the traditional Korean musical instrument class. Students were introduced to the origins and unique characteristics of various folk instruments, and had the chance to experience playing them firsthand—creating a direct connection with the rich artistic heritage of Korea. Through these immersive activities, students not only gained new insights into cultural and artistic practices but also strengthened their teamwork, communication, and adaptability skills in a multicultural setting.

Reflecting on the journey, Le Kim Ngan, an International Business major, shared: "Coming to Korea felt like stepping out of my comfort zone and into a whole new world of language, culture, and fascinating international friendships."

Phan Tran Thuy Oanh, an International Business major, expressed her admiration for the traditional cultural activities, while Lam Nhu Ngoc, a Psychology student, described the trip as an exciting, enriching, and memorable experience. These positive reflections highlight the practical value of international summer programs, offering students a well-rounded opportunity to grow—from academic knowledge to soft skills, from cultural understanding to global mindset.

Unforgettable highlights of a meaningful summer for UEFers

According to Ms. Pham Thi Thuy Linh, Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Languages and International Cultures at UEF and Head of the delegation:

"This year marks the third time UEFers have participated in the summer camp at Keimyung University. This not only reaffirms UEF’s credibility and reputation in international educational partnerships but also serves as a valuable opportunity for students to represent a young generation that is dynamic and ready to integrate globally."

In addition to academic activities, the UEF delegation also left a strong impression thanks to their unity, proactive spirit, and high sense of responsibility. Despite coming from different faculties, the students collaborated effectively, completed the program successfully, and together showcased the image of confident, globally-minded UEF students.
