Meeting with Indonesian Consulate General HCMC

JULY 25 - The meeting between UEF and the Indonesian Consulate General HCMC was hosted by UEF International Institute leaders, featured Dr. Do Huu Nguyen Loc, Vice President & Director, and Ms. Huynh Tu Anh, Deputy Director, who served as the delegation's head and member, respectively.

On behalf of the Indonesian Consulate General HCMC, there were Ms. Eva Kurniati Situmorang – Indonesian General Consul, and Ms. Aghata Nugrahaningsih – Consul of Socio Cultural and Information Affairs Section.

Dr. Do Huu Nguyen Loc introduced an overview of the learning environment, cultural and academic exchange activities in recent years between UEF and educational institutions in ASEAN countries such as Malaysia, Thailand, Philippines, Laos, etc.

Notably, Dr. Do Huu Nguyen Loc emphasized that establishing the Vietnam – ASEAN Friendship Association has provided UEF with opportunities to develop and expand cooperative relationships with universities, colleges, and educational institutions.

The Indonesian Consuls also invited consular officers and lecturers from Indonesian universities and colleges to UEF to pay a working visit and organize seminars and thematic reports, to name a few.

In addition, both parties and the Vietnam – ASEAN Friendship Association discussed organizing meetings and cultural exhibitions of Southeast Asian nations in honor of Indonesia taking over as ASEAN Chairmanship in 2023.

Ms. Eva Kurniati Situmorang invited UEF representatives to attend the "Indonesia - Vietnam Business Forum 2022," taking place on July 29.

Various programs discussed will be implemented in the years to come

The meeting marked the long-term and sustainable cooperation of both parties in co-hosting numerous promising programs, consisting of student mobility, seminars, thematic reports, and regional cultural exchange activities. This will provide UEF faculty members and students with many future opportunities for international exchange.
