UEF and Jeonju University - Korea to discuss new programs

JULY 17 - UEF had a meeting with Jeonju University - Korea, thanks to the connection of Koretoviet Trade Promotion Center (supporting Vietnam - Korea connection). The two universities had a chance to share and exchange information about the academic curricula and hope to build a cooperation in the future.

The meeting featured the presence of Mr. Do Quoc Anh – Vice Chairman, Board of Trustees, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Ngo Cao Cuong – Permanent Vice President, Dr. Do Huu Nguyen Loc – Vice President & Director, UEF International Institute, Dr. Ly Thien Trang – Vice President, Mr. Huynh Quoc Phong – Director, Center of Corporate Relations, Ms. Huynh Tu Anh – Deputy Director, UEF International Institute, Mr. Nguyen Huynh Sinh – Vice Director, Department of Student Services.

The meeting also had the participation of Prof Choeng He Chon, Prof. Jang Hyong Kyk and Faculty members, from Jeonju University, and representatives from start-up support agencies. There were also Mr. Jo Sung Hyuk, represented the business and Mr. Joey Kim – CEO of Koretoviet.

Mr. Do Quoc Anh shared UEF’s program highlights

Mr. Do Quoc Anh, Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees, pointed out an overview of UEF's academic curricula, highlighted the parallels between Vietnamese and Korean cultures, and mentioned the development of Korean firms in Vietnam during the meeting. As a result, the Korean Language Program is becoming increasingly vital in order to satisfy the need for high-quality human resources. Therefore, he expressed his hope to work with Jeonju University to develop more activities for UEFers.

Representatives from Jeonju University and Koretoviet show interest in future collaboration

Representatives from Jeonju University also emphazised the parallels between the two institutes and indicated a desire to develop collaborative projects with UEF in order to offer appropriate programs in Vietnam. The start-up program of Korean businesses was also introduced on that day.

The meeting between UEF and Jeonju University lays the foundation for further cooperation and the expansion of partnership channel of UEF.
