UEF works with leaders of Tongmyong University, Korea

After the meeting in March 2022, the delegation of Tongmyong University, Korea returned to UEF on the morning of July 6, 2023, to further discuss the international cooperation program.

Representatives of UEF included  Dr. Nguyen Thanh Giang – President, Board of Management; Dr. Do Huu Nguyen Loc – Vice President, Board of Management and Director, UEF International Institute; Dr. Ly Thien Trang – Vice President, Board of Management; Ms. Huynh Tu Anh – Deputy Director, UEF International Institute; Mr. Nguyen Ba Anh – Deputy Director, UEF International Institute; Ms. Tran Phuong Quynh – Deputy Director, UEF International Institute and faculty members of the International Institute.

Representing Tongmyong University were Professor Ho Hwan Chun – President; Mr. Dennis Kim – Manager, The Overseas Employment Department; Mr. Joong-Rak Kweon – Dean, The Office of International Affairs.
 

UEF welcomed the delegation of Tongmyong University leaders for the second time to discuss collaboration   

Opening the meeting, Dr. Do Huu Nguyen Loc sent a warm welcome to the leaders of the partner university and outlined the international academic program orientations of UEF.

In this meeting, the two sides discussed potential cooperation opportunities including exchange programs, short-term student exchange programs, staff and faculty exchange; co-teaching programs; joint programs, and other collaboration opportunities.

In the previous meeting, representatives from Tongmyong University had discussed the 2+ (1+1) articulation program with UEF. Accordingly, UEF students can spend two years studying in Vietnam. Their junior year will combine the educational program between UEF and Tongmyong University (Tongmyong University will send Korean lecturers to teach at UEF and allow students to study in Vietnam), and their senior year will be spent in Korea.
 

Tongmyong University representatives visited the learning space and interacted with UEF faculty members and students

After the meeting, the delegation of Tongmyong University toured academic facilities at UEF, interacted with students, and attended the Scientific Research Conference hosted by the Faculty of Languages ​​and International Culture.

Through this meeting, there are hopes that UEF and Tongmyong University proceed to sign a collaboration agreement and launch a high-quality international program for students in the future.
