06/30/2023

The last practical activity of the "International Summer Camp in Viet Nam 2023" program for the student delegation from Ming Chi University of Technology Taiwan (MCUT) took place this afternoon. Students had a tour around Sheng Bang Metal Co., Ltd, a Taiwanese enterprise in Vietnam, and listened to start-up experiences from members of The Council Of Taiwanese Chambers Of Commerce In Vietnam Dong Nai Branch.

Accompanying the MCUT delegation were Ms. Huynh Tu Anh Deputy Director, UEF International Institute; Ms. Kelly Chen Associate Professor and Director, the IMBA Program; and Mr. Do Hai Dung Assistant Professor, IMBA Program.

Representing Sheng Bang Metal Co., Ltd was Mr. Hsu Shen-Po Deputy General Manager. From The Council of Taiwanese Chambers of Commerce in Vietnam Dong Nai Branch, there were Mr. Ngo Minh Dinh President, Mr. Quach Thuan Duc Vice President, and other members.

At the factory, students observed the entire production line, from input stages to output of finished products. At each stage of the process, Mr. Hsu Shen-Po shared a lot of new information with those who were visiting for the first time. Highlights of the company's history and production scale were also introduced.

They received more knowledge and skills needed for joining the labor market in the future, especially working in another country.

This company field trip was also the last real-life activity of the program. The MCUT students are preparing a report and will present it at the Closing Ceremony on July 1.

The "International Summer Camp in Vietnam 2023" program is coming to an end. Hopefully, the field trips in the last few days left MCUT students with many cherished memories and helped them understand more about Vietnamese culture and people in general, as well as the learning environment and students at UEF in particular.
