On October 17, being immersed in the joyful atmosphere of the new academic year, UEF simultaneously held the virtual Opening Ceremony for Freshman of UK & US’s Bachelor programs of 2021 and the orientation program for the 2021-2022 academic year.
The program attracted the participation of Dr. Ho Vien Phuong - Vice President & Chief of the University Central Office; Dr. Do Huu Nguyen Loc - Vice President & Director of the UEF International Institute; Dr. Pham Thi Anh Ngoc - Deputy Director of the UEF International Institute, Ms. Huynh Tu Anh - Deputy Director of the UEF International Institute along with officials, faculty members, staff, and freshmen.

On the day of welcoming “new citizens”, Dr. Do Huu Nguyen Loc represented UEF’s leaders and UEF International Institute to send greetings and extend his congratulations to them. Hopefully, his encouragement and positive messages will help freshmen to start a new academic year full of joy, excitement, and success.

Prior to this event, UEF International Institute had held a workshop “Secrets to survive your University life” to help new students familiarize themselves with university life. This workshop had taken place since October 13 with various topics such as "Effective time management"; "How learning English has changed in your university life"; "Adapting into university life and international exchange" and "Be your best self"



Welcome week events of UEF International Institute
During the event, Do Ngoc Kim Ngan - Freshman in the Faculty of English Language, shared her dream of studying abroad and the opportunity to attend the UK Bachelor’s Program of the University of Gloucestershire which is the joint program between UEF and the University of Gloucestershire (UK). Besides, by “Studying abroad at UEF”, she could still stay in her home country surrounded by family and friends while getting a degree of global value. In the end, she showed her gratitude to lecturers who were always dedicated to students even when teaching online classes and wished UEFers all a successful academic year.

After the ceremony, the “new citizens” joined the new student orientation in which they had the chance to learn about academic programs, rules and regulations, English language requirements, the timetable for semester 1, learning support systems, scholarship, prizes policy, and other information during the academic year 2021-2022.

Once the ceremony ended, the start of a new journey for freshmen began. Hopefully, this event could help them gain a better insight into the learning environment, recharge their battery and be ready for a new productive academic year.
