Welcome the student delegation from University of Keimyung (Korea) to UEF

06/30/2023

In late June, UEF has been continually welcoming international student delegations for exchange and study activities. Along with students from Ming Chi University (Taiwan), and Dongseo University (South Korea), on the morning of June 27, UEF also held a meeting and exchange with students from Keimyung University (Korea). These activities provided an opportunity for students to interact, share their learning experiences, and gain more insights into each other’s cultures.

The vibrant exchange between UEFers and Keimyung University students

The meeting featured Dr. Vo Van Thanh Than Dean, Ms. Ho Thuy Duyen Faculty member, and Mr. Duong Van Thanh Faculty member, from the Faculty of Languages and International Culture, along with 55 students.

Representing Keimyung University was Mr. Ha Ji Won Head, International Cooperation Department, accompanied by 25 students.

With this activity, the two universities had the opportunity to introduce their learning environment, academic programs, extracurricular activities, and student support services. This provided a favorable environment for UEFers to learn and gain insights into the higher education system in Korea.

Memorable gifts fostering the bond between the two universities

In addition, during the exchange, Keimyung students brought a series of unique games, imbued with Hallyu culture of South Korea. Activities, such as K-pop dancing, identifying celebrities from their photos, playing the ‘Paper flip challenge’ (from Squid Game movie), dancing to the music, and guessing the song's titles created a fun and friendly atmosphere among students from both universities.

Exchange activities created a lively and cohesive atmosphere

The exchange took place in an enthusiastic and vibrant atmosphere, creating opportunities for students to exchange knowledge, explore cultures and establish valuable relationships. The event also contributed to promoting international cooperation and innovation in higher education at UEF. Hopefully, this sets the foundation for opening up long-term cooperative opportunities, helping students of both universities learn and develop in an international context.
