Class observations and assessment by experts from LTU in UEF international bachelor’s programmes

MARCH 20 - UEF welcomed Dr. Katie Lupton – Head, International Business Programme and Ms. Patrizia Deidda - Manager, International Partnerships from Leeds Trinity University (UK) to conduct the survey and assessment of the courses in the international bachelor’s programmes including Project Management and International Management, instructed by Mr. David Scribner and Mr. Adam Briffett respectively.

 

Dr. Katie Lupton and Ms. Patrizia Deidda attended two classes to inspect and assess evaluate the teaching quality of the courses  

Mr. David Scribner's Project Management session was held in a dynamic setting in the morning. Mr. David Scribner logically conducted the course from basic to advanced. The planning approach was extensively and presented, assisting students in organizing their knowledge before planning a project, as well as real-life examples that expanded on the theme. Dr. Katie Lupton and Ms. Patrizia Deidda observed and examined the session in person. Dr. Katie Lupton and Mr. David Scribner collaborated toward the end of the lesson to elaborate on the theme. Throughout the process, students actively interacted and demonstrated an eagerness to learn from both their lecturer and professors from Leeds Trinity University.

 

Mr. David Scribner shared lessons concerning project planning

In the early evening, International Management class instructed by Mr. Adam Briffett took place. The session focused on the cultural theme - Cultural Imperative, progressing from basic principles to the significance of culture in society and the variables that influence culture. Mr. Adam Briffet's utilization of the Quizizz platform to organize the lesson made the entire session more engaging. The lecturers praised the swift evaluation test results as well as UEFers' abilities to absorb and apply new information.

 

UEFers actively discussed with lecturers during International Management class

Following Mr. Adam Briffet's session, Dr. Katie Lupton assigned students a research project to thoroughly analyze their newly gained information. Moreover, she proposed the approach and step-by-step instructions, the source materials, and instruments to support the research. Students had no reservations about exchanging ideas with Leeds Trinity teachers and expanding their knowledge.

After the 2 class observations, students gained significant knowledge from UEF faculty members as well as experts from Leeds Trinity University. For a more thorough assessment of the teaching process, further working sessions and discussions will take place. The observation and assessment of the courses will resume on March 22 with Business Research and People Management.
