E-Commerce: Career Orientation Talk Show

On April 6th, the Faculty of Information Technology has held “Career Orientation” talk show for students majoring in E-Commerce to update students with useful knowledge and experiences.

Head of Retail Marketing were the experts hosting the talk show. Meanwhile, Dr. Nhan Cam Tri - Vice President and Mr. Le Nguyen Thanh Dong - Director of Business Cooperation Centre as well as lecturers from the Faculty of Information Technology were there on the behalf of UEF.

Dr. Nhan Cam Tri - UEF Vice President shared some information regarding the E-Commerce market in Vietnam during the Covid-19 pandemic and the start-up contest organized by UEF. It is hoped to attract more competitors in “Technological products” group to express their creativity.

The highlight of the talk show is the presence of experts to provide students with more practical information about E-Commerce and job opportunities. This is a significantly potential profession which students can work at technology companies or technology department in other companies.
According to Mr. Lieu, the operating mechanism of a business has many divisions and departments. When students apply for jobs, they have to understand their functions and be well-prepared with the background knowledge - attitudes - skills to enhance their competitiveness in the business.

At the talk show, Mr. Tran Nguyen Phi Long - PNJ Head of Retail Marketing also helps students to get a clearer picture of E-Commerce through the information about consumer index, e-commerce revenues, customer generations or demands for human resources.

Students also got the chance to interact directly with the speakers. With the detailed explanation, students have a better understanding of the story of E-commerce in Vietnam and international markets as well as be able to differentiate E-commerce and Online Marketing.
Moreover, the experts have provided some tips for UEFers to thrive in this environment including professional knowledge background, pressure tolerance, positive attitude and how to create differences.
