03/08/2024

MARCH 7, the UEF’s Faculty of Languages and International Cultures warmly welcomed a student delegation from universities in Tokyo, Japan. During the exchange session, students were grouped for discussions and presentations on their chosen startup projects.

The program was co-organized by Ajipura Company, with Mr. Tanaka Shunichi, the CEO, attending as the representative partner.

On behalf of the Faculty of Languages and International Cultures, there were Dr. Vo Van Thanh Than - Dean, Faculty of Languages and International Cultures, Mr. Hoang Vu Duc and Ms. Miyuka Igeta - Japanese language faculty members.

The exchange session helped UEF students practice foreign languages and explore interesting cultural aspects.

During the meeting, 9 Japanese students and UEFers engaged in group interactions, conducting surveys, and asking questions about the topic of startups. This is a project that Japanese students intend to implement in the Vietnamese market.

Japanese students undertook three entrepreneurial project groups

Accordingly, there are three project groups, including: A fitness application integrated with gaming (utilizing burnt calories to nurture virtual pets); An application suggesting Asian restaurants for tourists (creating a distinctive and reliable rating system); and a specialized cooling pillow and mattress products for the Vietnamese market (aiming to reduce electricity consumption from air conditioning during sleep).

Students discussed and presented their ideas

This exchange activity provided UEF students with an additional environment to enhance their Japanese communication skills, explore interesting cultural aspects, and showcase the creative, dynamic, and friendly image of UEFers to international friends.
