“Global Marketing Exploring” - Thailand: Fostering international experience for the UEFers

12/15/2023

UEF and its faculties always attempt to bring students more learning experiences and international exposure. Most recently, the Faculty of Marketing has sent UEFers to Thailand to participate in “Global Marketing Exploring”. The journey lasted from December 14-18. During the first two days, UEFers had fascinating experiences, especially the opportunity to explore the world’s leading sporting goods retailer - Decathlon.

Accompanying the delegation on this trip was Ms. Huynh Tu Anh - Deputy Dean, Faculty of Marketing

The University of the Thai Chamber of Commerce (UTCC) was the first destination. This is a public university established by the Thai Chamber of Commerce and located in the heart of Bangkok. UEFers had a chance to visit the international learning environment and experience state-of-the-art facilities in classrooms, libraries, and student lounges as well as separate areas for sports and artistic activities.

Furthermore, UEFers also had a chance to meet and interact with students from different nations having unique cultural backgrounds. UTCC representatives had a warm welcome and special instructions to the delegation. They gave a speech on the university’s traditions, academic programs, and other interesting information.

On the second day, students eagerly listened to and visited the marketing story of Decathlon, the world’s leading sporting goods retailer. Representatives from the firm shared insights into the business culture and style, operational procedures, and unique selling points of Decathlon. Within one session, the pool of knowledge of UEFers became more robust.

The student delegation “studying abroad” spent time exploring the culinary culture and unique aspects of the land of Golden Temple as well as joining in various entertaining activities.

Hopefully, the following two days would bring a series of meaningful activities that UEFers were looking forward to experiencing. Wish UEFers strive to learn and accumulate as many valuable lessons as possible when seizing this opportunity to study “abroad".
