International exchange program in Thailand: UEFers learn about Sustainable Development Goals

JANUARY 7 to 12, UEFers had the opportunity to participate in the international exchange program DCU Youth Global Camp: “Youth Voices in Digital Era” held at Mahidol University, Thailand. At this event, Pham Thuy Tuyet Nhu, a student majoring in Chinese language, acquired more meaningful lessons about Sustainable Development Goals as well as experienced fascinating cultural features.

The international exchange program DCU Youth Global Camp: “Youth Voices in Digital Era” gathered more than 100 students from around the world. This activity was organized by Mahidol University, Thailand; the National University of Singapore, Singapore; and the University of Southern Queensland, Australia.

Students could take part in one of four different and essential modules: Biology and environment, Cyber-security and AI, Financial Literacy and Economic Growth and Diversity, and Inclusiveness, through the lens of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The program was designed to help students answer the call for action from SDGs by executing many teaching methods and learning through field trips, conferences following modules, discussions, and presentations.    







Tuyet Nhu has gained many meaningful lessons and experiences from friends worldwide

This activity also included rich cultural tours and authentic local experiences, helping students truly immerse themselves in Thai culture and bringing a diverse context along with a more profound insight into global diversity and multicultural learning.   

After participating in the program, Tuyet Nhu had meaningful experiences and also sharpened essential soft skills. International exchange programs are one of the activities that UEF concentrates on to provide students with a chance to experience a multicultural environment, thereby expanding their understanding and preparing them to become global citizens.
