Japanese businesses welcome 10 more interns from UEF

07/06/2023

In three consecutive days, from July 2 to July 5, 10 students from the Faculty of Languages and International Culture of UEF, who had excellently passed the interviews, were sent to Japan to start their corporate internships.

The send-offs at Tan Son Nhat International Airport had the presence of UEF representatives, UEF lecturers, students’ families, and friends. This international internship opens opportunities for Japanese language students to acquire helpful hands-on experiences in Japan, and accumulate practical skill sets before joining the labor market.

The number of UEFers going abroad to take internships in Japan is increasing

The flight on July 2 included 4 students, namely Tran Thi Ha Linh, Trinh Ngoc Khanh Ly, Pham Thi Thuy Ngan, and Nguyen Pham Diem Quynh. The students will serve their internship together at Marunuma Kogen Ski Resort in Gunma, where its restaurants, hotels, ski resorts, and retail sectors are reportedly in business. During a ten-month internship, the students can participate in the company’s operations, while gaining further knowledge and work experience and earning extra income.

The other flight on July 3 brought two students, Phan Le Kim Thao and Ngo Thi Tuyet Giao, to Tokyo, Japan, to start their internship at Homage Restaurant. They are the first group of interns to do a 12-month program in Tokyo, the bustling and well-developed capital of Japan. Therefore, their opportunity to learn and gain experience is widely open opened.

Other 4 students who flew to Japan on July 5 included Nguyen Thuy Lan Anh, Nguyen Ngoc Yen Nhi, Pham Thi Mong Ngan, and Dang Tuong Vy. Lan Anh and Yen Nhi will work at Kagetsutei Hotel, while Mong Ngan and Tuong Vy will take the role at Senoumi Betsutei Umiusagi Hotel. With one year of internship at these two units, we hope UEFers will reap valuable experience in order to be fully equipped in their fields before graduating.

4 more students came to the land of Cherry Blossoms to begin their long-term internship program

The students’ send-offs always had the participation of Mr. Huynh Quoc Phong Director, Center of Corporate Relations; IFK representatives; and UEF faculty members to show support and empathy with students’ parents. It is to prove that we give our students full attention, aiming to build strong confidence and reassuring parents when their children are given international internship opportunities.

Mr. Huynh Quoc Phong always presented to encourage and help parents feel more secure

Most parents felt secure to allow their children to do internships abroad as they understand the benefits of our UEF international program. Parents were more at ease when lecturers came to see the students off, encouraged, and shared a lot of information with them. Before each flight, Mr. Huynh Quoc Phong also updated parents on the situation of the previous students and the student’s efforts to secure their positions through successful interviews. As a result, the parents were even prouder and more confident to support their children on their journey to participate in the international internship.

Advice from the lecturers to UEFers before going

The plane has taken off, and a new journey, not without difficulties and hardships, has begun. Undoubtedly, UEF interns can overcome every obstacle, quickly adapt and successfully complete their internships. It is known that on July 22 the first group of interns to arrive in Japan will complete their 6-month internships and return to Vietnam.
