The UEF is actively collaborating with organisations and companies, giving UEFers opportunities to engage with and gain valuable expertise from all over the world. Particularly, Tran Thi My Duyen - a senior in Japanese Language from UEF, was invited to study abroad in Japan by EHLE Institute from April 25th to 29th.
UEF and EHLE Institute already signed an education exchange on May 24, 2022. On the basis of agreement, UEFers can take a deep dive into exploring Japanese businesses and culture along with gaining useful insights into learning Japanese at university. Thanks to EHLE Institute, students can take part in an all-expenses-paid program “Long-standing businesses tour in Japan.”
Following that, My Duyen was one of the selected students to attend this trip due to her outstanding outcome in studying and Japanese proficiency.
My Duyen and other overseas students in Japan
During the 5-day trip, My Duyen visited a total of 3 prefectures in Japan, including Osaka, Shiga and Kyoto. She and other students had chances to sightsee Shitenoji Temple - the oldest temple in this country and visit some famous destinations, such as: The Entrepreneurial Museum of Challenge and Innovation (EMCI) in Osaka, Itoh Chubei Memorial Museum, 300-year-old Nishikawa’s house. They got to know Japanese business philosophies through lecturers at Kongo Gumi Company and the Inamori Library of Kyocera Group. Visiting the 1000-year-old Ichimonjiya Wasuke shop and exchanging with faculty members and students at EHLE Institute were also interesting activities on this trip to Japan.
Students could improve their Japanese proficiency and have an in-depth knowledge of the culture of the “Land of the Rising Sun” through the trip, which supports them significantly in studying and developing their future career opportunities. Moreover, the trip functioned as a cooperative milestone between UEF and EHLE Institute.
Unforgettable trip with a lot of valuable lessons for My Duyen
After the trip, My Duyen mentioned: “When our journey came to an end, I really wanted to express my gratitude towards everyone accompanying me during this nostalgic trip. Thank you for showing a beautiful and friendly Japan in the eyes of us. Thank you for creating such a meaningful program for me to love this country more. And, thank you for inspiring me to go beyond my limits in the future.”
Hoping that these memorable experiences in Japan could provide My Duyen with diverse knowledge about Japanese traditional business, and additionally, motivate My Duyen to try her best to succeed in her own way.
