Distinguished attendees included Ms. Vu Tran Due Nhan – Deputy Director of the Binh Thanh District Social Insurance Center; Dr. Mach Tran Huy – Human Resources Director, Deputy Chief of the University Office; Ms. Nguyen Thi Kim Loan and Mr. Tran Thanh Huy – Deputy Directors of the Center of Corporate Partnerships, along with faculty members from various departments. The keynote speaker was Dr. Nguyen Thi My Dung, former Deputy Director of Ho Chi Minh City Social Insurance.

During the session, Dr. Nguyen Thi My Dung delivered an in-depth analysis of key updates related to social insurance, particularly emphasizing the critical role of this policy in protecting workers' rights. She offered a comprehensive perspective on the new features of the Social Insurance Law and underscored the essential role of social insurance in ensuring income security during times of hardship. Additionally, she highlighted its importance as a strategic tool for businesses and society to maintain stability and sustainable development.

Continuing the session, the speaker provided a comprehensive overview of Vietnam’s current social insurance schemes, which include: sickness, maternity, occupational accidents, occupational diseases, retirement, and survivor benefits. Dr. Nguyễn Thị Mỹ Dung also highlighted key updates regarding eligibility conditions, benefit levels, and procedures for claiming support under the new regulations. Additionally, she clarified various factors that impact the rights and responsibilities of both employees and employers—such as minimum wage levels, base salary rates, and the roadmap for adjusting retirement age.

Before concluding the program, the practical Q&A session garnered significant interest from attendees. Numerous insightful and highly relevant questions—directly related to the implementation process and common challenges faced by businesses—were addressed thoroughly and clearly by Dr. My Dung. Her detailed explanations, accompanied by practical examples, helped clarify complex issues and provided valuable guidance. These insights proved especially helpful for both employees and employers in understanding and accurately applying the new provisions of the Social Insurance Law.
