Students participated in Korean international semester

Thanks to the large-scale  international network, students at UEF found it easy to seize opportunities to participate in international training environments. Alongside  domestic hands-on experiences, UEF students were familiar with study trips to economically developed countries such as South Korea.

Many universities in South Korea were partners of UEF with a vision of implementing international programs aimed at student development. according to the corporation regulations, Korean universities always open their doors to welcome students for various forms of study.

With outstanding proficiency in both English and Korean, UEFers have quickly adapted and integrated. They actively absorbed new knowledge, engaged in cultural exchange, and established solid connections with international friends. These experiences serve as valuable assets for those who aspire to work in Korea-based multinational companies.

UEFers frequently attend international study program

In early November, UEFers participated in the Students Start-up International Conference at Tongmyong University. During every semester, the UEF also warmly welcomes international students and foreign experts for visits and cultural exchanges.

At international co-teaching sessions, students could acquire knowledge of multifaceted viewpoints with their lecturers. They could freely share their thoughts and feelings about the problems. They were also offered open study space which deepened their insights and aligned with global movements. Above all else, their language speaking skills were improved significantly since they could engage in practicing reflexive language with natives.

Recently, the Vietnamese-Korean martial arts cultural exchange program has been successfully held at UEF. In December, UEF students, along with the students from Soonchunhyang University, took part in academic events and cultural exchange activities after virtual sessions for discussing and implementing start-up projects. Additionally, UEF has fostered close relationships with Dongseo University, Inha University, Keimyung University, and Busan University to further expand the learning environment for students.

Strong foundation for learning Korean

For language-related majors, engaging in activities related to the native country will provide a solid foundation for students’ development.

According to Ms. Pham Thi Thuy Linh - Deputy Dean,  UEF Faculty of Languages and International Cultures, UEFers of the Korean Language as well as students who desire to study in this faculty will be offered to participate in activities ranging from academic contests, talk shows, and workshops to Korean artistic and cultural competitions. The programs come along with valuable experiences that stimulate interest in this country as well as prepare for future careers.

Students are provided with opportunities to participate in various activities related to the Land of Kimchi

Throughout their years of study, students have the opportunity to engage in a variety of programs and activities to learn about the Korean language, culture, and history. These include traditional Korean games, Korean art, the "Study Korean with Gen Z" program, the "Korean Language Speaking Contest - Korean Ambassador Cup 2023", the K-Chum Festival, and the "Remake Korean Drama" acting competition.

The convergence of all these factors has created an environment where students can engage in holistic learning and pursue their passions. The international integration factor is evident, aiming towards the ideal of global citizenship.
