After sessions on knot-tying, paper-cutting, and martial arts, UEFers continued their experience in Chinese Watercolor Painting on the afternoon of May 22. This is an activity in the Chinese online study abroad program organized by the Faculty of Languages and International Cultures in coordination with Guangxi Minzu University.
The supervisor for the course was Ms. Mai Ngoc Ha – Lecturer of Guangxi Minzu University (China).
The students received online guidance from lecturer at Guangxi Minzu University
During the lesson, they learned about the origin and history of Chinese watercolor painting. Ms. Mai Ngoc Ha then instructed the necessary steps to paint plum blossoms and cherry blossoms, from the stems and branches to the flowers.
With the guidance of the lecturer, the students were enthusiastic to follow along and given materials such as paper, fountain pens, Chinese ink, and watercolors to create their own paintings.
The enjoyable experience for the UEF students
They have now gained another valuable insight into Chinese culture. Listening to guidance from local lecturers has also improved their language skills considerably.
After the series of cultural experience activities, the program's closing ceremony will take place on May 25. This will be an opportunity for the students to share their thoughts and emotions about the cultural exchange course with their international friends.
