Continuing their journey at the Service Solution Design Competition 2023, UEF students were all geared up with useful knowledge and skills from international experts. On August 9, the students received lessons about the Business Model Canvas and methods of incorporating visual aids in presentation.
At the Business Model Building workshop, the project ideation process proceeded to perfection. Each team had 60 minutes to identify key elements of the model, including defining customer segments, core project values, and other factors to assess cost structure and project revenue streams.
The experts attentively listened to the presentation and posed questions to help students clarify the business model ideas of each project.
The UEF team received guidance from foreign experts on building their business model
After that, the students went on to prepare illustrative images and learn how to use general multimedia authoring software. The project was to be presented in 5 minutes; therefore, effective visuals and precise information were crucial factors for “scoring points” with the judges.
Students participated in online discussions with advisory experts every evening
In addition, they also took part in an engaging activity: an online meeting with advisory experts for 60 minutes every evening to address any questions arising from the day’s activities.
The project has been gradually taking shape in preparation for the final presentation
After three days of competition, UEF students shared that they were able to quickly grasp the concepts because the Project Design courses 1 (PD1) and 2 (PD2) they learned at UEF covered most of the knowledge and skills. They were so eager to utilize the acquired knowledge in this competition.
Day 4 would be the “under the wire” time to prepare for the presentation. It would be a day of passionate effort for all involved. Our UEFers, let's give them great encouragement and cheer them on!
