UEF in international students’ perspectives

12/28/2023

In the first semester of the academic year 2023 - 2024, UEF welcomed 15 students from the international exchange program who came from Germany, the United Kingdom, France, Denmark, Poland, and China. After their study period at the university, these students shared many memorable experiences with UEFers.

Before starting the academic year, they were engaged in activities and provided with detailed information about the schedules, student accounts, communication and student support service channels, etc. Additionally, exchange activities between international students and UEFers helped break the ice and got closer.

The international students' learning process was also strongly supported by various departments within the university. Many extracurricular activities were organized to help them learn about Vietnamese culture, which left them with an unforgettable feeling.

The Mid-Autumn Festival activities at UEF remain memorable to Lucie Quagliaroli

Sharing the memorable memories, Lucie Quagliaroli, an exchange student from France CY Cergy Paris University, recalled the lantern-making activity and celebrating the festival at UEF. Having studied at the university, Lucie also shared: “I've had the privilege of learning from very kind, patient, and proficient instructors. Also, UEF students are so friendly that I am so content to meet and make friends with them. "

Caroline Sejer, an exchange student from the England University College London, shared: "I have made friends with many UEF students; we went on sightseeing trips together, and they introduced me to many great coffee shops and Vietnamese specialties. I will truly miss them when I return to my home country."

Besides, she expressed her impression of the satisfying learning environment at UEF and her interest in inspirational quotes decorated around the classroom. The British student also emphasized practice-oriented teaching methods which help you to make visual comparisons in your study field.

Meanwhile, Etienne Kolb, an exchange student from Ludwigshafen University of Applied Sciences in Germany, expressed: “ Whenever I have difficulty in studying, the instructors and lecturers provide me with avid assistance. It is the same with the UEFers since we create group-workings and help each other with our best. I also made many new friends, and we went out together. They introduced me to a variety of delicious dishes.”

International students quickly adapt and create unforgettable memories at UEF

Joining an exchange study program at UEF, international students also invested their time in visiting Ho Chi Minh City as well as other popular destinations in Vietnam. This was a great opportunity for them to socialize and explore captivating cultures.

Due to positive sharings from the international students, we kindly hope for your ongoing journey to be filled with key takeaways at the end of the program.
