UEF International Network Expanding

This morning (September 29), Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics and Finance (UEF) held a reception and established international cooperation with a system of 19 Malaysian universities. This event again marks the great progress on UEF's internationalization of higher education.

Dr. Nguyen Thanh Giang, UEF Principal attended the meeting and gave a speech on welcoming all the Malaysian universities.

At the meeting, representatives from UEF and Malaysian universities introduced the programs and learning environment, and proposed opportunities for international cooperation at the same time. There are a number of universities that have become UEF's strategic partners in the past academic year such as SEGi University, INTI University, etc.

CEO Warren Eng, Dr. Do Huu Nguyen Loc, Director of Institute of International Education and representatives from Malaysian universities sought for a chance to cooperate.

After the reception and discussion about the cooperation plan, representatives from Malaysian universities had a "Campus Tour" in which they took a look at facilities and met with UEF students. In the inspirational space of the Creative Hub, students were introduced to Malaysian education by Normala Baharuclin, Malaysian Education Attaché in Vietnam. In addition, Mr. Andy Tai, Marketing Communication Director at Disted University, Malaysia also shared with them practical study skills for international learning environment, especially the courses are taught completely in English at some universities.

Thanks to UEF network expansion, students will have more choices for articulation program

Hope the cooperation between UEF and Malaysian universities will be sustainable and gain more achievements in international education.

UEF also successfully launched the International Undergraduate Program in partnership with Gloucestershire University on September 27. This is considered as a remarkable international program that combines the quintessence of British education and international learning environment in Vietnam. Students are provided with real business experience from experts and entrepreneurs right in class. Additionally, they can also seek for career opportunities, as well as are inspired to work in a dynamic, modern international environment. Research and creative solutions that relates to professional academic knowledge are also concerned. Furthermore, students are offered chances to practice during their studies with lecturers from foreign universities.

The advanced integrated teaching methods help to develop students’ creative abilities as well as critical thinking. The ratio of 25 students per class creates effective interactive environment. The graduates will be awarded International Bachelor Degree from Gloucestershire University and is recognized by Vietnam Ministry of Education and Training.
