UEF Signs MOA with IMI Switzerland, Expanding International Partnerships in the Hospitality Sector

UEF Forges New International Partnership with Switzerland's IMI to Advance Hospitality and Tourism Programs

Prof. Gavin R. R. Caldwell shared that this partnership would provide UEFers with significant opportunities to study at IMI and receive professional training, serving as a valuable stepping stone for post-graduation development and future career preparation in the hospitality sector. He expressed hope that, in collaboration with UEF, numerous enriching activities for students would be successfully implemented.

The UEF’s representatives were Dr. Do Huu Nguyen Loc - Vice President, Board of Presidents; Dr. Ngo Minh Hai - Vice President, Board of Presidents; Dr. Nguyen Hong Nhung - Deputy Director,  UEF International Institution; Ms. Nguyen Kim Thoai - Deputy Dean, Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality Management; Ms. Nguyen Vuong Hoai Thao - Deputy Dean, Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality Management; Mr. Nguyen Viet Thuy - Deputy Dean, Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality Management and many faculty lecturers.

At the beginning of the signing ceremony, Dr. Do Huu Nguyen Loc delivered a welcome speech to the university partner, providing an overview of UEF and expressing hope for a successful partnership with IMI in the near future.

Representatives of two universities made a discussion about the proposal.

 During the ceremony, representatives from both universities also discussed opportunities for a summer semester abroad, international internships, and the 3+1 degree program in the hospitality sector.

 








MOA Signing Ceremony between UEF and IMI

Founded in 1991, IMI became a member of the Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) in 1999. In 2024, IMI was proudly ranked 17th among the world's best hospitality schools by the QS World University Rankings.

IMI representatives attended a reunion for alumni and 2020 cohorts of the Tourism and Hospitality Management Department on the same evening.

Following the MOA signing ceremony, it is hoped that numerous international programs for students in the hospitality sector will soon be launched, broadening UEFers' opportunities to access world-class education and professional environments
