At the event, two Japanese students presented a comprehensive overview of spring in the land of the rising sun. The main tourist destinations in Japan during spring are the cherry blossom viewing spots. Cherry blossom trees are planted all over the country, in parks, streets, mountains, and along rivers, all blooming in a pale pink color. At the same time, visitors can immerse themselves in the refreshing atmosphere of the mountains and waterfalls. The spring season brings a vibrant atmosphere to the natural world. Visitors can see forests and mountains full of life, as well as beautiful waterfalls. In addition to the fresh and vibrant natural scenery, the indispensable beauty of Japanese spring is the traditional cultural festivals and many special dishes.

In addition to the informative presentations, UEFers also had the opportunity to win prizes when playing games on Kahoot. The game consisted of 10 questions about Japanese culture, history, and geography, allowing students to showcase their knowledge, memory skills, and fluency in Japanese. The combination of learning and having fun, coupled with the chance to win practical prizes, kept the UEFers engaged and actively participating throughout the event.

Another highlight of the program was the introduction to Origami, the art of paper folding. Origami is a traditional Japanese art form that involves transforming simple sheets of paper into intricate and beautiful creations. In Japan, Origami is deemed as a form of art inextricably linked with Japanese culture.

The students watched a video tutorial before trying their hand at making cherry blossom flowers, a symbol of spring in Japan. Using the provided materials, such as craft paper and tape, the UEFers let their creativity shine as they cut, folded, and assembled their flowers. They focused intently on the task at hand, and tried their best to create a perfect Origami.
