UEF welcomes the Ambassador of The Republic of Argentina in Vietnam

JUNE 1 - Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics and Finance (UEF) welcomed Mr. Luis Pablo María Beltramino – Ambassador, the Republic of Argentina, and his escorts. At the meeting, UEF representatives expressed their honor and hopes for future cooperation with institutes in Argentina to push the boundaries of international education quality.

Accompanying Mr. Luis Pablo María Beltramino was Mr. Benjamin Bruno Orellano – Head of Political Section and Cooperation Section. 

On UEF’s behalf, there was Dr. Kieu Xuan Hung – Chairman, Board of Directors; Mr. Do Quoc Anh – Vice Chairman, Board of Directors; Dr. Ly Thien Trang – Vice President, Board of Management; Mr. Nguyen Quoc Viet – Director, UEF Spanish and Latin American Institute; and Ms. Huynh Tu Anh – Deputy Director, UEF International Institute.
 

Mr. Do Quoc Anh – Vice Chairman, Board of Directors gave a welcoming speech to the Ambassadors 

As the 50th anniversary of bilateral relations between Argentina – Vietnam (October 25, 1973 – October 25, 2023) is coming, Vice Chairman Do Quoc Anh voiced his gratitude toward the Ambassador of The Republic of Argentina in Vietnam for attending the working session at UEF during his welcoming speech. He also gave his congratulations on the successful opening ceremony of the first Argentina-invested leather company in Vietnam on May 31.

Maintaining the integrating education motive, UEF continues to focus on building international relationships and cooperation. By welcoming the Ambassador of The Republic of Argentina, UEF will open up numerous partnership opportunities with Argentinian universities.
 

Mr. Luis Pablo expressed his emotions when visiting Vietnam and UEF

Mr. Luis Pablo expressed his unique special emotions when he visited Vietnam and UEF during this important milestone. The Ambassador stated that Argentina has many universities ranked among the world's leading universities and the working session with UEF is a valuable opportunity to continue exploring and promoting cooperation, especially since UEF has a high-quality international training program.
 

Dr. Ly Thien Trang - Vice President, Board of Management shared UEF’s general information

Denoting the Board of Management, Vice President Ly Thien Trang also shared general information about UEF such as its history, academic programs, teaching methods, objectives, strategies, missions, student activities, etc.
 

Ms. Huynh Tu Anh presented some proposals in discussion

In terms of cooperation goals, Ms. Huynh Tu Anh – Deputy Director, UEF International Institute explained how international programs at UEF function and proposed the desire to expand cooperation with universities in Argentina, organize International scientific conferences, seminars, workshops, and semester-abroad programs, implement full-time international undergraduate programs for foreign students, as well as student and faculty member exchanges.
 

Mr. Nguyen Quoc Viet suggested cultural exchange activities between Argentina and Vietnam at UEF

Regarding cultural exchange activities between Argentina and Vietnam at UEF, Mr. Nguyen Quoc Viet – Director, UEF Spanish and Latin American Institute suggested implementing an exhibition of educational cooperation between UEF and Argentina education institutions; organizing Argentina week at UEF with activities such as Tango week, Argentina film week, history, and wine culture sessions for UEF lecturers…, organizing Ecasa Night at UEF; and promoting cultural and linguistic exchange between Argentina and Vietnam, and trade between Vietnamese and Argentina businesses in the near future.
 

The Ambassadors visited UEF’s facilities and innovation areas

The meeting with the Ambassador of The Republic of Argentina at UEF provided a foundation for the university to continue promoting and developing international programs, as well as expanding cooperation opportunities with universities in Argentina in many fields, to further offer students many quality academic programs and experiences in the near future.
