UEF welcomes the Cambodian Ministry of Cult and Religion, signs MOU with PSBU

Attending the program were Mr. Chan Sorykan, the Consul General of Cambodia in Ho Chi Minh City; Mrs. Pen Chanchakrya, Vice President, Preah Sihamoniraja Buddhist University (PSBU); Mr. Khim Darat - Dean, Faculty of International Relations at PSBU; and members of PSBU.

UEF’s representatives include Dr. Do Huu Nguyen Loc, Vice President and Director, UEF International Institute; Dr. Tran Thanh Huyen - Dean, Faculty of International Relations; Mr. Nguyen Pham Hai Ha, Deputy Director, Graduate Education Institute; Dr. Nguyen Hong Nhung and Mr. Nguyen Ba Anh, Deputy Directors, from UEF International Institute.

In the introduction session, Dr. Do Huu Nguyen Loc shared the aims of educational internationalization of the UEF, international programs, and he also hoped there would be many exchange students with PSBU after signing the MOU. 

Mr. H.E. Ngoun Sdechpheakdey empathized that a cooperative relationship between two universities will enhance global connection

Mr. H.E. Ngoun Sdechpheakdey, Secretary of State of the Cambodian Ministry of Cult and Religion, shared the hope that UEF will soon visit Cambodia and PSBU shortly after the signing, as well as emphasized that the cooperative relationship between the two higher institutions will enhance a good connection and development. 

After the signing ceremony, representatives of the two schools discussed international programs that could be implemented soon, specifically taking students on a short-term visit and studying in Cambodia.

Besides, Dr. Tran Thanh Huyen, Dean, Faculty of International Relations, also informed the internship for students of the Faculty in Cambodia this March.

The cooperative relationship with PSBU not only creates conditions for students to exchange but also aims to coordinate lecturers for learning exchange. 

The MOU signing event with PSBU is UEF's first international cooperation program after the Lunar New Year. With this bright start, UEF will deploy many quality activities for students from both sides in the coming time, as well as expand the international partnership map in the new year.
