UEF with highlight international events in November 2023

In November, besides major activities celebrating Vietnam Teacher's Day on November 20, UEF continued to create many significant impressions with a series of international activities such as meetings, signing cooperation agreements with overseas universities, welcoming international exchange students, and facilitating cultural experiences and academic studies for outbound students.

Signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Central University of Finance and Economics, China

 

NOVEMBER 08, UEF and the Central University of Finance and Economics, China (CUFE) signed the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the goal of expanding international collaboration and outlining development directions in the key training sector. The collaboration aims to introduce a variety of high-quality international education programs for UEFers in the near future, especially in the fields of economics and finance to provide students with access to advanced education and broaden their perspectives on global economics. 

Welcoming and working with the Vice President of Keimyung University, South Korea 

With the desire to establish a sustainable collaboration in the international exchange program, especially in South Korea, on the afternoon of November 17th, the leadership of UEF International Institute hosted and collaborated with the Vice President of Keimyung University, South Korea. The representatives from Keimyung University also discussed the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with UEF to enhance the quality of the exchange program for students from both sides, providing them with more learning opportunities and meaningful experiences.

Communicating with students and experiencing international entrepreneurship

Delegation of students from Singapore visited UEF for cultural exchange, tourism, and culinary experiences. 

NOVEMBER 08, in the journey of cultural exploration, lecturers and students from Temasek Polytechnic Singapore visited Vietnam and had a cultural exchange session with UEF students. With the theme 'A Culture exchange UEF & Temasek Students,' the event provided opportunities for students to have profound insights about countries, cultures, and people, as well as to foster friendships among students from various Southeast Asian countries. Moreover, it also contributed to promoting international collaboration and innovation in higher education at UEF.

UEF Lao international student achieves third prize in the 2023 Vietnamese Eloquence Contest

NOVEMBER 10, Lao international students competed in the 2023 Vietnamese Eloquence Contest and proudly achieved the third prize in the Southern region. With the theme 'Vietnam in My Heart,' Lao students successfully demonstrated their understanding of Vietnamese culture, people, and their love towards the country where they are studying and living. In doing so, they also spread the image of UEF students to their international friends. 
Delegation of UEF students experiences international entrepreneurship in Busan, South Korea

From OCTOBER 30 to NOVEMBER 2, the UEFers delegation had the opportunity to visit Busan, South Korea, to participate in the 9th International Student Startup Conference. With enthusiasm, a proactive learning attitude, and a spirit of creativity in the entrepreneurial trend among the youth, the UEFers delegation was excited for this overseas journey. This event is significant for honoring innovative ideas and connecting young entrepreneurs from all over the world. The trip yielded valuable lessons and exciting international experiences.

UEF E-Sport Club participates in the International e-Sports Festival in China 

The International E-sport Festival, an annual sports event for students from various universities worldwide, took place from November 10 to 13 in China. The UEF E-sport Club participated in this competition with two gaming categories: League of Legends (Group C) and KartRider Rush+ (Group A), competing against many teams from different countries.

International teaching standards training for faculty and staff

NOVEMBER 14, 15, 16, UEF International Institute and the University Office successfully collaborated to organize a training program on international standards for university teaching methods with the theme 'Advanced Higher Education Fellowship Scheme.' Participating in the training, officials and Faculty member lecturers had the opportunity to learn many interesting and useful up-to-date teaching methods given by experts from the University of Gloucestershire (UoG), UK. The activity also provided a chance for faculty members to explore the Advance Higher Education scholarships from the United Kingdom.

With a variety of international exchange activities throughout November, UEF continues to provide valuable international lessons and special memories for lecturers and students. These activities consolidate the UEF's reputation and image as an international education environment, promising a new month December filled with high-quality events.
