When I become a better version of myself, I will contribute to developing my country into a truly strong Vietnam by taking advantage of what I have learned.”

Not only are these abroad trips an opportunity to practice languages, but they also help UEFers upgrade their professional skills as well as hands-on experience. Fostering that spirit, on November 22, the Faculty of Languages and International Cultures, Japanese Language major held a meeting for orientation on the Japan international internship in semester 2 of the 2023 - 2024 academic year. According to the report, students not only had the opportunity to learn, gain practical experience, and develop their professional skills, but their Japanese language acquisition has also improved significantly after working time. Besides, the strong support from the university and the IFK company will ensure that this process will go smoothly”.

Dr. Nhan Cam Tri pointed out the benefits of international internship programs to the young

Continuing the program, Mr. Do Quoc Anh also delivered passionate messages and encouragement to students before traveling. He advised them to equip themselves with knowledge about the cultures and people of the Land of the Rising Sun in order not to get left out. Moreover, especially when working in the restaurant and hotel industry, it is essential to cultivate refinement and meticulousness in every detail in addition to expertise.

In addition to being encouraged and guided warmly and genuinely, UEFers were informed about the completion of their documents, procedures, and things to keep in mind ahead of their traveling.

Mr. Le Dung informed about the regulations of the trip

Showing the pleasure of being coordinated with the UEF in corporate semesters, Mr. Nguyen Phuong Trinh shared: “You should be proud to be a UEF student because there are not many universities willing to listen to, care for, and support students in international activities nowadays. I hope that this will be a driving force for each person to keep on completing your tasks well and following the impressive attainments of the seniors in the foreign country.” Overall, daring to try, experience, and be wrong is the message that Mr. Nguyen Phuong Trinh desires to remind the students of UEF.

With the hope of providing a specific view of the living and working environment in Japan, the program also invited Le Nguyen Minh Ngan and Tran Thi Hai Ngan, who have completed their 6-month internship, to share their experiences.

They delivered detailed information about the time, living conditions, corporate culture, and benefits as well as the description of the job that they undertook. In particular, the warmth, attentiveness, and enthusiasm from the colleagues in supporting each other when joining all activities left the deepest impression on them. From Minh Anh and Hai Ngan perspectives, although adapting to a new life was very difficult, it was this companionship that helped them build confidence to fully develop their abilities.

UEFers shared their experiences at the end of their internship

Speaking about the achievements she has reaped after this journey, Minh Anh enthusiastically expressed: “During the time we worked in Japan, we were exposed to many Japanese colleagues and friends. I was able to improve not only my general Japanese skills but also my ability to use “dialects”. Currently, in terms of the Japanese language, I feel confident about my speaking and listening skills.”

Sharing the same opinion, Hai Ngan affirmed that her Japanese skills have also made considerable leaps. In addition, the time spent living away from home and experiencing more of life’s values has offered her the opportunity to develop both confidence and skills.

Students listened attentively, raising questions about working procedures in Japan

In the near future, there will be many students of the Japanese Language major participating in the internship program in the land of cherry blossoms to seek opportunities to develop their skills and knowledge. Hoping that with the experience shared in the program, they will have enough confidence and the necessary preparation to have a memorable internship.
