UEFers at Service Solution Design International Competition gain valuable experiences

08/14/2023

As the Service Solution Design Competition 2023 in Thailand came to a close, four UEF students gained many values, from knowledge and practical experience to connections and learning opportunities with international friends. This left them with meaningful memories from the competition abroad.

UEFers made their mark at the Service Solution Design Competition 2023

AUGUST 11 - at the end of the pitching round, four UEF students, including Nguyen Phuong Luan - Faculty of Economics; Le Nguyen Sao Bang - Faculty of English; Huynh Thanh Phu Qui - UEF International Institute and Nguyen Ngoc Nhu Y - Faculty of Business Administration, received certificates of completion for the Service Solution Design Competition 2023.

Although the results were different from what was expected, the students learned many useful lessons during their participation. For UEF students, these were valuable and breakthrough achievements at such an international competition.

UEF students presented their projects confidently during the Pitching round

As the students’ company and guide on this journey, Ms. Ha Le Thu Hoai - Deputy Head, Center of Project Design Education, shared: “Although they did not get a high prize in the competition, they have "won” in the hearts of experts, instructors, and the Organizing Committee for their energetic, dedicated, friendly, and cheerful spirit. They proclaimed the positive characteristics of UEF students, and these valuable international experiences are the greatest rewards for all of them.”

“Through this journey, I have learned and experienced new and interesting things, met and interacted with international friends. More importantly, the competition made me realize my capacity as well as my shortcomings, motivating me to strive harder. The lesson I have learned is to improve my values, enrich my knowledge and skills, and prepare well before entering the competition. We have to try to remember and absorb new knowledge and insights shared by the speakers and fellow participants, which will give the group materials for the final round.” said Nguyen Ngoc Nhu Y - Faculty of Business Administration, after the competition.

The journey of competing overseas with many invaluable lessons has come to an end

For Huynh Thanh Phu Qui - a student from the UEF International Institute, this competition was a journey of emotions and experiences: “The most valuable thing for me is to meet and make friends with many international peers and promise for the next reunion. Although it was just a short time, I could feel our closeness. This is an international competition, so I have accumulated much experience, such as project presentation and pitching skills. I also want to express my sincere gratitude to the UEF leaders, the UEF PD Center, and especially to Ms. Ha Le Thu Hoai, who guided us to complete this project successfully."

Nguyen Phuong Luan - a student from the Faculty of Economics also thanked UEF for giving them the opportunity to learn and develop themselves through useful international exchange activities.

The experience gained at the international competition was probably the most valuable "reward" for UEF students after this participation. Hopefully, the knowledge and skills learned in Thailand will help them develop further in the future, ready to challenge themselves in more competitive opportunities.
