UEFers continually join interview for internship program in Japan

MARCH 6 - With a desire to open up multiple opportunities for students participating in an international internship abroad, UEF Faculty of Languages and International Cultures, in collaboration with IFK, conducted an interview for the internship program at Senoumi Betsutei Umiusagi and Onyado Zuiyo Hotel - Japan.

There were 11 applicants for the interview. Dr. Vo Van Thanh Than – Dean, Faculty of Languages and International Cultures was also present at the interview to give positive encouragement to UEFers.

On IFK’s behalf, there were Mr. Nguyen Phuong Trinh – Director, IFK Vietnam; Mr. Nakayama Ken – Director, IFK Tokyo; and Mr. Sadai Kenji – Director, Senoumi Betsutei Umiusagi Hotel.
 

UEFers attended an online interview


Japanese recruiters focused on raising questions relating to restaurant and hospitality majors, as well as assessing students' grasp of the enterprises. Besides, students were asked to demonstrate their foreign language proficiency by introducing themselves and answering specific questions about Japanese culture.

The internship program at Senoumi Betsutei Umiusagi and Onyado Zuiyo Hotel includes the following hospitality-related tasks: Ensuring the quality and amenities of bedrooms, Maintaining hygiene standards of communal areas and bathrooms, Providing excellent customer service, Managing stores, etc.

In addition, UEFers will have a chance to acquire more knowledge of Japanese culture; Japanese food processing; fire prevention, natural disaster response, hygiene management; practical Japanese language learning as well as cultural exchanges; etc.
 

 UEFers confidently answered recruiters’ questions in Japanese


The internship lasts for 10 to 12 months. Prior to the interview, all students in the interview have fully met the requirements for Japanese language proficiency, equivalent to N3.

6 female students will be recruited for the internship at Senoumi Betsutei Umiusagi and Onyado Zuiyo Hotel. Through the interview, UEFers also gained valuable experience in front of international recruiters and sharpened essential skills for their future careers.
