UEFers experiencing field trip to Liberty Central Saigon Citypoint

MAY 17 - Sophomores from the Bachelor of International Hospitality & Tourism Management program engaged in a field trip at Liberty Central Saigon Citypoint.

Accompanying them was Dr. Do Huu Nguyen Loc – Vice President & Director, and faculty from the International Institute.

Ms. Vo Thi Huong Thanh – General Manager and Mr. Lu Cam Van – Assistant General Manager showed students around Liberty Central Saigon Citypoint, where students will get a firsthand look at all the hands-on work procedures in 4 days, and introduced them to managers of Front Office, Housing, F&B, and HR departments. Also, students got to learn about the hotel’s operation and working principles.

The business trip offers students real-world knowledge

Students will be split into groups for their internship at Housing, Front Office, and F&B on May 23, May 31, and June 6, respectively.

Ahead of this, the International Institute staged “The resilience in Tourism and Hospitality in Viet Nam during the Covid crisis” workshop, bringing practitioners from the service sector to equip these students with current changes in the “new normal”.

Hopefully, students will make the most of this trip at Liberty Central Saigon Citypoint, and then map their future career to fit with their favorite departments.
